.....So this happened. I blame this thread for the sandwich. The cake just jumped in my cart, and I didn't have the heart to tell it "no".
I got that same cake from publix on Sunday and ate both pieces to myself. It was amazing. And I got a serving of fruit out of it right?!

  • @PBear93 and @KOR121 you ladies are life savers!
  • My husbands first thought for "chub rub" was apparently a spice rub...and then dirty. I'm not sure what to think of this.
  • But....but...I don't have a Publix near me.
Yet, another reason to move to Florida.

    EXACTLY. The fruit totally counts.

Hahahahah!!! Two strawberries and four blueberries is a serving of fruit?! Don't tell my kids that ;)

I can't talk, though. I'm convinced sour cream and lots of cheese and ice cream makes up for my lack of milk drinking.
  • @NicknShan- sounds like a rough day :( will they do anything about the super low blood sugar and BP?

There were lots of berries in the filling in between the cake layers, so totes counts!

    Hey, that stuff's dairy!

H: "something for your penis or you know, a 'chubby'"...which is apparently slang for penis as well.. this from the man who had never heard the term "Itty bitty titty committee"
  • @NicknShan- sounds like a rough day :( will they do anything about the super low blood sugar and BP?

No. But I went and got a cheeseburger immediately after the appointment. My OB is right next door to McDonalds. Cruel.

    QBF

Mine actually knew! We were walking and I said, "god. My thighs are rubbing together. It's so gross." and he said, "ah. You got that chub rub going on." He grew up with 6 sisters though so that's probably why.
  • @crdo - Oh my goodness, that looks delicious!!!  I'm glad you enoyed it.

@lilwatz - WTF, why tell you to file an appeal and then refuse to read it?  I would be yelling tomorrow morning at them if I was you.

Hey guys question...I'm rotating through all the dr's at my practice and today the one I saw said I don't have to get another tdap because I got one when I was pregnant with my son in 2014. Isn't the whole point to pass immunity to the new baby? I'm confused.
    "
We recommend administration of the tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) to all pregnant women in each pregnancy between 27 and 36 weeks of gestation, even if the woman has a previous history of pertussis or vaccination (Grade 1B). Tdap is given to reduce the risk of maternal pertussis, and thus transmission to the infant, in whom pertussis can be lethal or have significant morbidity. Placental transfer of maternal antibodies may also provide a degree of passive protection of the infant against pertussis for two to six months. (See 'Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccination' above.)

Man that's really low BP! Do you still feel off?
  • I just came across this on pinterest and it made me think of you ladies.

  • Thank you to everyone who responded to my question about the  Tdap. I thought it was really weird that she said I did not get it, I have to see her again in two weeks and definitely going to have more questions. It's interesting to me that out of the 6 doctors I rotate to, she is the only
    midwife.

Well, I just got through all 94 comments that I missed and just have to say, as a Florida native & resident, Publix rocks!
  • Uffda. The medical field is just ridiculous in pricing. No wonder everything is astronomical. Glad you at least got some answers, @Lilwatz
  • crdocrdo member
@Lilwatz: A whopping -$9/month...hmph. Good that you were able to get the issue worked out, and that you have a coupon to bring the price down!
  • @NicknShan did you find a dress?
  • @CourtJack my appetite is really off.  I usually want to eat everything.  Now I feel full and just want to sleep.

Yup, ditto. Hope your BP and sugar regulates soon so you feel better!
  • Congrats, @MamaNicoleof3!!!!!!

    My randoms:

    1) Someone shared a two-year-old video of a dying father and his daughter getting dressed up like it was her wedding and filming their father/daughter dance.  I lost it.  Cue all the ugly tears.

    2) I have a Kinderpack problem and every time I think I have all the carriers I need, I find another I want.  Anyways, my newest one is arriving in the mail TODAYYYYYYYY!  I am, hopefully, going to sell one of my old ones to not be completely ridiculous.  I really only need one per size.........

  • I passed my one-hour GD test! Wooo!!

also, @NicknShan- after I hemorrhaged and had two blood transfusions after an MC, my BP was ridiculously low for a long time. You could try eating some salty things or drinking Powerade/Gatorade for the sodium and it may help bump your BP up a bit so you aren't so sleepy.
That's great! Mine is next Tuesday, and every time I open my fridge and see that facking orange drink in there I feel like this

Mine is next Tuesday too! I feel the same way when I see my like drink in the fridge. I'm terrified I'll passive aggressively forget to take it to work with me.

Excellent use of this GOT gif!
  • @MamaNicoleof3 woo on passing your test!

I am 99% sure I passed mine, they haven't called yet but my results are up online and were in the normal range specified by the test so I'm tentatively celebrating.

Good luck to those of you doing yours next week, the drink (at least the one I got) wasn't that bad, honestly.  It really was very much like a slightly overly sweet flat soda.
  • @ahernandez16 I send my H a weekly countdown.  Then it's usually the same...holy shit we are having a baby!
