STM, 25 weeks.
am I the only one who thinks these kicks are weird and creepy feeling? There's a certain movement baby does that almost feels like a slither or a wiggle, and it creeps me out every time. Sometimes the kicks make me flinch because they creep me out so much. Definitely not one of those moms who cry over how beautiful it all is, lol.
On Monday, I had an important/stressful day at work. As I was waiting for my turn to present, baby kept doing the weird wiggle. And I actually said "listen kid, you're going to have to cut it out, because that's distracting as hell".
Re: So, I'm the unemotional mom...

Had a full on panic attack at my sister's house in January when her twin sons had their 4th birthday party (she also has a 5 year old son) because their house was full of screeching brats and I realized just how much I STILL hate children. People keep assuring me I will love mine. I am praying this is the case or he might get left at the fire station.
All that being said, I finally bonded (took about 5 months) with this little parasite inside me and now am freaking out if I don't feel him kicking. But I most definitely don't get weepy as he's kicking me in the old vag like he's trying to get out.
However, he typically kicks either right below my ribcage or stomps on my cervix/bladder which hurts and makes me flinch and I've literally said "OH COME ON" out loud a few times. He did so a somersault really close to the wall of my uterus that I physically saw happening on the outside and that creeped me out. Haha he can keep his somersaults to the middle of my uterus from now on.
But my mom had the same reaction as OP. When she was pregnant with her first, my dad took her to see Alien in the theater. He had already seen the film and made sure to goose her during the popping out of the chest moment. I'm amazed there were more children instead of a divorce. Now I've decided I have to watch the movie while pregnant to carry on the tradition.

Haha! I actually really like poking my little guy. H tells me not to bug him when he's sleeping and I'm like, "well he bugs me when I'm sleeping!"
Plus I think it's really cool that I can kind of "communicate" with him already in that way.
@ahernandez16 I was poking our little guy to make him move and husband literally said to me "Don't do that! His head is still soft, you're going to give him brain damage!" He was 100% serious. I couldn't help myself and legit laughed out loud. First, I've never heard of this happening in the history of pregnancy. Second, I'm graduating from nurse practitioner school in less than 2 months...I'm aware how medical things work and also aware of the anatomy of his skull but thank you for the info lol
i wasn't overly emotional with my first pregnancy either. Weird little alien beings!!
