Hi everyone!  I've been on the TTC after 35 board for a few months, and was hoping I could slide right over here.  I didn't post a BFP over there because I had only been around since January and didn't want to be hurtful to anyone trying longer. 

I am 37, and will turn 38 before my due date.  H and I have been married for 7 years.  We have a 4 year old daughter, and a 1.5 year old daughter.  When our first was 1, I got pregnant again, and miscarried naturally after seeing no heartbeat at our first ultrasound at 8.5 weeks.  It was devastating and definitely colored my pregnancy with my next daughter, as I'm sure it will color this one.  

This will hopefully be my last pregnancy, so I am hoping to try and keep fear at bay and enjoy every minute of it.  I'd love to have a group of women of my age to go through it with.

    Congratulations and welcome! PGAL can be hard in the 1st days to weeks so *hugs* and all the luck for a H&H 9 months. Sorry your have had to experience loss and we are here for you if you need. Yay!

    Welcome! I'll be 38 when my baby girl is born and I'm hoping to have a second child after that.
    TTC#1 since Jan 2015
    BFP 2/19/15  •  MMC found at 9 wks  •  D&E at 11 wks (age 36)
    BFP 8/29/15      •  CP (age 37)
    BFP 11/18/15  •  DD born at 41 weeks <3(age 37/38)

    TTC#2 since May 2017
    BFP 10/18/17  •  MMC found at 8 wks  •  Misoprostal at 10.5 wks (age 39)
    BFP 2/16/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 4/13/18      •  CP (age 39)
    BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks      •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
    9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
    RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.

    BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    Welcome and congrats! I'm sorry about your prior loss and hope that this pregnancy will be a happy and healthy one for you. I turned 39 while pregnant with my first and turned 41 just before getting pregnant with this one. You're in good company here. ;)

    Congratulations! I remember your intro on the TTC after 35 board right before I came over here. If you've been an active participant on that board since January I think it would be OK to let them know. Otherwise they might wonder where you went! And hearing a success might even give others hope. That's just my opinion. Maybe others here could chime in on the etiquette.... Either way it's what you're comfortable with of course!

    I'll echo what @BernieRae said. I posted my BFP on the TTC >35 board after only being active there for about 2 months. I think it was well-received (or at least I'm not aware that I rubbed anyone the wrong way!). I'm also 38 and hoping this will not be my last pregnancy. Ignore what people say! We've got time, ladies!

    Thanks everyone!  I'm hoping this is my last pregnancy, because we want 3 bio children.  After that we'd like to adopt.  So as long as this pregnancy is successful, the plan is for it to be my last.

    There was only one person on TTC>35 that rubbed me the wrong way. She had never posted before, said she was ALMOST 35 and based on the info in her post, she was very likely pregnant but hadn't tested yet. So basically she would never even be TTC>35.

    3/2014 - TTC #2, return to RE 7/2014
    12/2015: IVF #1 transferred two great looking embryos - BFP!
    First ultrasound: TWO beautiful little heartbeats!!
    Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)
