I know several people who plan tgeir kids this way and want them very close together. I am not one of those people. July 2015 I welcomed my first baby, now 8 months, and he is the light of my life. I always knew I wanted more, but a little while down the road. Found out today I am pregnant again... whoops. We took precautions but I guess we are supposed to have another one now.
I'm not sure the point of this post except, when I found out I was pregnant with my son I was so happy and excited. With this one I don't know what to think. I work full time, do school full time and at that point will have a 15 month old and a newborn.. I may come unglued

Though my girls are not as close in age as yours will be (mine are 21 months apart), it was not what my husband and I wanted for an age gap (were wanting a larger age gap). Honestly the stars were in full alignment for us to have gotten pregnant with our youngest daughter. There were times that were harder than others (especially is my husband was out of town or working late) but I would not change it. It is very easy to get caught up in the stressful moments but I always try to take a step back and remember that is only a moment in time that seems like it last forever but actually goes by so quickly. My daughters love to do everything together and I think it helps that there is not a large age gap. Hope this helps some, I remember being anxious about the situation when I was going through it.

I am also about to have two under two! (it actually may be 2 under 1 if #2 comes early!!!!) I just had baby 1 in November 2015 and now I'm due November 2016... eek!!! It will definitely be an adventure...

Same here. I had my daughter September 12, 2015 and now I'm due with baby #2 November 9, 2016. We haven't told anybody yet...kind of want to wait a little while and then shock everybody lol. It’s definitely different from our first as far as the excitement...I think we're still in shock haha! But we are so happy even though we weren't planning to have them so close. It was just meant to be and that's ok with us! Good luck to you!

Mine will be almost exactly 2 years apart. We were NTNP but I'm still a little surprised how quickly it happened. I'm having some moments too where I either forget that I'm pregnant, feel guilt about the attention I'll be taking away from DD, or just generally feel nervous about having two kids!

I think there are a lot of benefits to having two close together in age, but also some drawbacks. One thing that's important to remember is the risk of PPD is much higher with 2u2, so it might be helpful to discuss with your OB and your partner/support system.

I also had a baby in July who is 8 months and just found out last fri about this one!! Not happy as this will be my fifth! Yes, fifth lol. My oldest three are much older at 15, 13, and 10. Thought I was done after the third. Then came our 2015 surprise baby! Now we will have a playmate for her I suppose in November!

Yep. I'm in this boat. I will have an 18 month old and a newborn come November 2016. This was a surprise for sure, but now that the idea has been settling in for a few days, I'm getting more and more excited. Not so excited to tell my boss though! And also not excited for all of the 'gee, that was fast...' comments I'm sure I'll get. Anyone thought of how they're going to handle those?? I'll take some advice now please, so that I don't blow up at anyone when we start telling people.
