FTM here so this question may be silly but...
Where do moms get information on meet ups and such?! I'm at a cafe right now working but my view is literally a group of moms with their babies in strollers...WORKING OUT together! It's super cute but I'm partly stressed because I'm about to tap into this world of mom circles and I've no idea where to begin! I also think it's good to get to know other moms in my neighborhood for my sanity when baby comes since I'm the only one out of my group of friends who's expecting.
Anyone see "The Intern" with Anne Hathaway? Remember when Robert De Niro took Anne's daughter to her friend's birthday party? I fear with me working full time, I may not get to meet up with other moms but want to during the weekends or something!
See pic below (blurry but you can see them in the background):
Re: Local Mom Groups
Sidenote - your coffee looks amazing.
Our town has 2 mom groups - one for working moms, which meets on weekends and weeknights and a SAHM group which meets during the week. You may want to check your town's local community page.
Also, the hospital where I delivered had an expecting mother's group and the mom's kept that going after the babies came. It was great for maternity leave meet ups!

Just keep swimming.
and post-delivery most hospitals and birth centers offer new mom get togethers or free weekly breastfeeding support groups. There.
Online you may find Facebook groups for your area or your pediatrician's office may have contacts. There.
and once baby is in school or any classes you will meet a ton of parents of kids the same age. There.
I'm in a Facebook mommy group from the Monday new moms group at my hospital (serves moms of 0-12 week olds) and we just sorta stuck together.
I'm in a moms group on Facebook through one of my fellow jaycees who's daughter is 3 months older than my son and her group is super funny /silly instead of serious so she added me.
My my son has been in gymnastics, toddler sports for 2 yr olds, and school since 4.5 months so the options are never ending. I also have a ton of friends and a few cousins who have kids around the same age so it's not really needed for me to be involved in a moms group for playmates. I think if I was a stay at home mom I would value the opportunities more to give my kid some socialization but since I work full time and kiddo is in school full time and we usually do an extra curricular like swimming or soccer, I havent really needed the play dates. I think you will have way more opportunities once the baby is here - you'll be very surprised.
Our little lightbulb is on the way!
