I've coveted the City Mini double stroller for a long time, but I'm worried it won't stand up to the trail walks we do with our dogs. Currently we have a (single) Chicco Activ3 and love it because it has shock absorbers that make it a great off-road stroller.
Does anyone have a great double stroller they'd recommend? Preferably a jogging stroller but more importantly, it needs to be rugged!
Re: Talk to me about double strollers
@kmalls - So glad you posted this! I was just looking for one this morning! Yes, please, if anyone has any recommendations. We just have a single one now, but will be needing a double... Thanks!

See I've ONLY been considering side by side strollers -- to me they just seem llogical (idk why I feel that way, ha). I do know that the City Mini double fits through most doorways. I haven't done too much research on the others.

My first two kids were 22 months apart and the select was perfect since the car seat adapter is awful for the city mini double. You can use the select earlier with a baby since the seat can be adjusted and face towards you. Also in a busy parking lot you can pull the select next to the car. The city mini double you cannot. The city mini double does not always fit through doorways (but better than most side by sides). I love the glider board attachment for the select as well.
the only time I preferred the city mini double is when we went to Disney and my kids were older.

We will probably end up getting a Mountain Buggy One + stroller.

I only use the stroller for running though, not other outings. I could see the Pod being a pain for a trip with lots of ins and outs.
All that said, FTMs, I highly recommend just starting with a double if you are planning on more than one, especially if looking at one for running. That's too much money to spend twice!
