Twatwaffle Tuesday

Did I miss this somehow?  I checked the recent threads!

My TW this week is the lady who put money into our vending machine at our business, while moving the OUT OF ORDER sign we had put over the money slot.  She called demanding a refund, didn't leave any information, and hasn't returned my call to offer her refund (though I don't feel she deserves one!).

Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday

  • That's silly.  Honestly I don't understand people who want refunds from vending machines in general, even those that don't clearly proclaim to not work.  Is it really worth it, for at most $2?

  • Today I can be a TW for not starting the TW thread.  The baby is eating my brain :(
  • Everything around moving is a TW.

DH and I fought about what fridge to buy for a week (and the one we ultimately bought went up in price).
DH doesn't like the way I pack things. I don't like the way he packs things.
The gas company was late for the service hookup appointment which left me twiddling my thumbs in a vacant house for an hour.
The flooring I ordered for our contractor won't get here in time for our scheduled installation date so I had to reschedule for after the move.

    Lord beer me strength...

My baby brain is the TW today!  I was having coffee with my mom this morning and discussing a price on something my dad wants while simultaneously texting my SO about the weather! BAD IDEA!!! I was intending to tell SO it was supposed to be 60 degrees instead I put yeah it's really nice out supposed to be $30!? My mother got a good laugh...
  • This week's TW is my husband's boss. I won't go into detail..just trust me on this one.

My brain, because I've been having more trouble falling asleep than usual lately because I can just not stop my brain from going 100 mph.  Last night was the worst because not only was baby going crazy for like, an hour, but I had let DH talk me into one more episode of Community when it was already 11 pm.

Oh, and another - my stupid printer.  I'm in charge of printing the invitations for my baby shower, and half the time I have to stand there and feed it one sheet of paper at a time.  If I put a stack in there, even if it's just two pages, it will start pulling them through without printing.  Or even better, pull them halfway through and stall out.

  • My TW is my coworkers (lol when is it not?!). I work for a heating/cooling company and part of my one coworkers job is to order deliveries of fuel oil every morning to fill up our huge underground tank so we have enough to send out in our delivery trucks to customers. This involves reviewing prices from several oil companies, calling to pick one, and then scheduling another company to bring it to us. I think? I have absolutely nothing to do with this, its not even remotely on my radar, because I mainly handle simple things like billing questions and scheduling technicians to go out to customer's houses. Well, he is coming in late tomorrow and everybody pointed at me to be in charge of handling this for him. I've worked there under a year as compared the the decades everyone else worked there. They all acted like "Oh, its time you learned this!" which I totally get, but I'm telling you, I'm going to have to do it because everyone is lazy, not because they want to teach me. And if this is about teaching me, the better way to handle it would be to have me watch my coworker go through the steps one day and then do it myself with his help the next. Nope. Being thrown right in. When he was going over the basics with me, I literally started sweating and having a mild panic attack. At one point he goes "And thats it! Then you just put the call in." Put the call in? What does that mean? Put what call in where!? He goes "Oh, you call Rand's..." like I should have known that (I still dont even know what Rand's is or what to say when I call them). I kept telling him and everyone else how uncomfortable I am with this, and they just laughed and said "Don't worry, its easy!" Guess what? Its not easy when you don't know what you are doing and people are famous for "teaching" me something and leaving out very important details. When I screw this up tomorrow and we either don't get an oil delivery (really bad when you sell oil every day...) or chose the wrong company and cost us hundreds of dollars, I'm gonna get shit from everyone. I think a big reason I'm panicking is just my general stress level from being pregnant and feeling like I don't need more added on to it, but seriously, I'm dreading going to work tomorrow now.

    (sorry that was so long)
  • My TW is my coworker who thought it would be funny to compare people to types of stars. As the pregnant lady, that apparently makes me a Supergiant ready to go Supernova.

I I wasn't the only one who told him that was mean, at least.

    Don't worry. I got your back :)
Also, the refund was for $1, which makes the situation even more dumb...
  • I love my dad, and he's being very generous by letting MH and I stay with him temporarily, but today he was a TW...... I've been nauseous all day long and just wanted some spaghetti with meat sauce; I finally get a chance to make dinner, cook up the onions/meat/pasta, and go to get the jar of delicious, somewhat pricey marinara sauce I treat myself to.....and my dad had eaten it all. He has a bad habit of eating our food, and I try not to complain since we're staying here for free, but it sucks that I often have meals planned and find out right as I'm cooking that he ate some ingredients I need.

Tried adding some canned tomatoes instead but it just isn't the same and I want to be a big baby and cry. Thank God we move out on Friday!
  • My TW is everyone at work who keeps referring to my "pregnancy brain". Yes, I'm distracted and having a hard time staying focused, but it's getting old!

My 3 hour glucose test. For those who have not had the pleasure... It's twice as much glucose in the same size drink that you have to drink for the 1 hour in the same amount of time. Bleh. All they had was orange and I think this may have ruined orange soda for me for awhile. And that's saying a lot. I told DH that and he had a look of total disbelief on his face. On that note though... I hope I pass bc I do not want to make my birthing center the next TW for having to make me find a new doctor at 31 weeks.

And my dog. He was just laying in the cutest position right next to me so I went to take a picture. He noticed and moved. He always does this. It's like he knows. Now he's laying on the other side of the room as far from me as possible. :|
I found out today I passed the 3 hour I took yesterday. Wishing the same good luck to you :)
I didn't mind the orange drink the first time, but for the 3 hour it's actually double the ounces of liquid too, so by the time I got half way through it was like it turned to sludge and I had to gag my way through it, bleh.

Anyway, my TW is myself today for waiting until 3:30pm to eat lunch.

  • Our roommate is the TW this week. And every weeks since he moved in two months ago.

Come home tonight and he is out with the lights left on and the screen door to his room open. So that means a house full of Mosquitos! Thanks a bunch!! We are in Mexico so I am extra cautious about them. Hello Zika!

Two days ago I come home to an avacado pit on the ground in the living room right in front of my dogs crate. Avocado is super poisonous to dogs and when I told him he was like sorry didn't know. Well how about the next time food goes flying poisonous or not you pick it up?!?

At least he stopped throwing away his nasty ciggerette butts away in the kitchen trash stinking up the kitchen everytime something gets thrown away.

Oh! And we are trying to rent our place out while we are in Germany to have this baby and asked him to be out for a few hours this afternoon when people
came to look. He came back before the end of the showings went outside for a few minutes so I could show his room and was freaking already laying down with the lights off before our prospective tenants left. So rude!

And he stinks like BO all the time making the downstairs smell. He sleeps all day goes out all night and has the audacity to complain about the weather and that there isn't anything to do here. Well dude if you actually got up before 4PM and came home before 4AM you would know it is actually quite nice!!!

I could go on (he lost his ATM card TWICE making my husband play banker for six weeks) etc etc.

Needless to say he has been my TW for the last six weeks and I am so glad he and I are leaving on Thursday and I won't have to see him again for a very long time.
