I use them with a mix of cloth on my son. My son has sensitive skin and I like that there aren't any chemicals in them, they don't have a scent and if it does smell it's my kid's pee or poo that smells, not the diaper. I can't stand diapers that have some sort of scent to them (even if unintended, most do in my experience) They work really well. I don't have issues with leakage and such. And they're cute, so that helps! Their wipes are also great because they don't have a smell to them either and they're a great thickness. And their organic healing balm is like the best stuff ever. It was the only thing that cleared up his rash after several months and several different prescriptions.
We got them when DD was a newborn. DH is works in environmentalism, and wanted to try them because they are biodegradable. (Honestly, he wanted to cloth diaper, but I wasn't on board.) We had leaking issues so we haven't used them since. Don't let that turn you off from trying them, though. Newborn poo is harder to contain, and we should have given them another try, but I'm pretty dedicated to the brand we use now and just haven't done it.

Leaking can be related to sizing. I do find that we technically have sized "up" in that my son has been in 5s for almost a year now and he just hit 27 pounds within the past month or so. We started them at about 24 pounds? (recommended for 27+ pounds)
We use them with DD because she's been so sensitive with diapers and wipes. I love how thick the wipes are. Also, besides the environmental bit I really do love the designs. I figured if I was going to have to change diapers I might as well enjoy something about it!
I loved these diapers for a lot of reasons, but unfortunately they didn't work for my son. I think every baby is different and what contains the mess for some might not for others. We tried various sizes before giving up, but we ended up going with Huggies and eventually Up & Up as he got older.
I will agree with @diagonalley about the healing balm, though! That stuff is a miracle. Definitely stock up on that! We also continue to use their sweet orange body wash/shampoo plus their bubble bath, and it's all fantastic!
They work great for us! We use them interchangeably with Pampers. We didn't use them when lo was new, but have been using them for the last 6 months or so. (Little dude is about 28 pounds now.)
I like the wipes the best. They're nice and thick, and I keep a pack in my car for general cleanup.
We use them sometimes and have liked them. I agree with the others about the wipes. Best that I have used! You can always buy a pack or two to try if you are interested. Not like you have to commit to a lifetime supply!
I actually ordered some today because they were on sale on zulily and are more natural than some bigger brands. I'll be cloth diapering mostly, but wanted to have some newborn disposables on hand as well.
@mamadomino they really are! I tried a lot of different diapers when my daughter was a baby, including Walmart's brand (AWFUL). Target's are really good quality for the price. Huggies never fit her right and Pampers were just too expensive.

I don't have any experience with Honest diapers (no babies yet!!), but I do use a lot of their products. If you are interested in eco friendly, natural diapers I've read a lot of good things about Bambo Nature diapers.
I use Honest for lots of things around the house all purpose cleaner, dishwasher packs, laundry detergent, bubble bath, beauty products, but I do not like the diapers. They are terrible for over night, my LO woke up wet in them every time, but fine during the day when he gets changed every few hours. I know they make a night time diaper now, but why have to remember to switch at night and order those in addition to the daytime diapers. Plus they are more expensive. I love honest, but those diapers are not my fave.
I used them with both my boys...i loved that they were delivered ans the designs are fun! But when I did the math, I just couldn't justify it. We belong to Costco and I can get a months worth of diapers and two mo ths worth of wipes for 65$. I haven't used honest for about a year but it was about $80 at rhat point. I didn't find they worked any better or worse than any disposable diapers. If you can afford it, they are fun and I really admire what they are trying to promote.
On another note...sounds like I need to get ahold of some of this balm! Do they carry it at Target?
Thanks for this thread!! I was wondering the same thing. Are you ladies starting to stock up on diapers already? And how do you know what's a "good" price??
@frogdog06 I'm going to start stocking up for the baby as soon as Target has their next good sale (gift card back that is combined with a sizable coupon). I've already got one in diapers that I'm currently buying for, though, or I might have already started. I do the math to see what I'm paying per diaper, and just compare around. Different brands vary in price, but also in quality so it may be a trial and error to find the one you like and find the best price on them.
I also plan to check out Amazon Family this time since I'll have two in diapers for a while.
@camichael84 target has gift cards for diapers!! $20 when you buy 3 diaper packs. Do you then use additional coupons on top of that?
@frogdog06 I find for name brands (pampers, huggies) anything less than 20 cents per diaper is a pretty good deal. I have bought 2 packs already for this LO. As they get older, less come in a pack so it gets really pricey! Start clippin those coupons now!
@RedMar I saw that when we were out yesterday and I like those deals, but the best are when they offer that as well as the in-store coupons where if you spend $100, you get $15 off or something to that effect. I'll get $5 off coupons to use as well, frequently, but the last time I tried using them on a gift card deal, it wouldn't accept the coupon.
@kknoll59 Yes, Target sells the balm. It's pricey, but worth it.
In regards to stocking up on diapers, I've totally "cheated" the system with Honest. I don't rely solely on disposables because we use cloth, but I make sure there's a good sign up deal with Honest when I order a subscription (for instance, 50% off last black Friday for your first subscription) and then call and cancel after they arrive. I have like 4 accounts, lol. I've also recommended honest to myself because you get $20 for each recommendation where they make a subscription purchase, and then I use that money to buy another subscription pack. You can keep delaying when they send it to you so you don't automatically get it each month. Target also sometimes has good deals. Right now it's $25 for a box of diapers, but buy 3 and you get a $20 gc to Target. 3 boxes is the equivalent of the amount of diapers they send to you for a month (but you also get 4 packs of wipes) so that ends up being a decent deal if you wanted to stock up on some ahead of time and wait to "subscribe" when a good sign up deal comes along. If you want, I can recommend it to you (PM me your email) and then you'll start getting emails of deals and such so when/if you're ready you can sign up that way.
