Long time Lurker First Time Poster (child mentioned)

Hi all I've been lurking and cheering everyone on from the sidelines for 6+ months. A little bit about me I'm 36 DH almost 37 we have a 5 year old DS. We never thought this would be hard because we were once the blissfully ignorant unaware couple that just happened to get pregnant on a whim. Damn I miss those days LOL we have been trying for over 1.5 years & back in September I started acupuncture with Chinese herbs and temping still no BFP so I finally decided to see a RE in Dec. We were all geared up with a plan (start clomid) and the day before the start we find out no sperm in my DH sample...well he had like 4 swimmers! He was crushed I was sad cause I know he felt like he let me down. Long and short of it he went to a urologist provided another sample, got blood work and an ultrasound and I came to terms with the idea of needing IVF. He had his follow up this past Friday 3/4 and found out he's got great sperm!!!! We were blown away no idea what happened with the first sample! I had an apt with my RE yesterday and we are back with a game plan again...I am a planner and love having one. I'm going to be doing clomid like before but now we are going to do IUI with it. I am to start clomid on cycle day 3 call them once I get period to set up an STP and go from there. I'm so happy and never wanted my period so badly in my life. Timing is perfect because I'm due for AF this weekend.

I really hope and pray this is my one and only try but know realistically it will probably take longer. Is anyone using acupuncture and Chinese herbs? I'm thinking of going back to help with the process.
****DS mentioned*** anyone within 2IF? My little guy asked me last week why I don't have a big belly, nearly killed me he said he wants me to have a baby and was asking what we could name his brother

Hello lurker

Welcome to this board with a group of wonderfull women.

I used acupuncture throughout my treatment, as we 'unofficially' get recommended this by our clinics.
It doesn't do any harm, and it actually got me very relaxed.
Im not familiar with Chinese hurts, did use Royal jelly (honing from queen bee) this time around, as that's an old wives tale here in Scandinavia. Again, can't harm (unless you have an allergy of course!)

Congrats on your first post! Please consider joining the March IUI discussion. I am also doing acupuncture this time around. I figure it's worth in shot. I have fast growing fibroids, so anything I can do to slow them down is worth it. My niece and nephew have been asking when they are going to get a cousin for some time now. Not the same, but I can relate. It is crushing.

Welcome! **child mentioned** I too have a little one, but struggled to get pregnant with him as well. He's still too young to ask, but we desperately want to give him a sibling! Good luck with your journey and ask away!
