hey ladies--I just realized I need a bag for all of my pumping stuff when I go back to work on Monday! Any suggestions or recommendations on the type or features that you've found helpful?
I just use an old tote bag. It's big enough that the Medela pump, and cooler fit in it flat, and side by side which is nice. I use a wet bag for the parts that I put in the fridge in between pumping sessions. Nothing fancy!
My pump came in a bag. I ended up hating it because it was too small. I ended up paying $100 for a specific pump bag off of Amazon but I love it. It has room for the pump in once area. The other side can be used as a cooler and the top is big enough to fit 8 bottles and 4 sets of parts.
I use a tote bag as well. I leave my pump at work because I have a backup pump at home from my first daughter. Then I have a small cooler that Enfamil sent me to keep the milk cold. In that I also put my breast shields for between pumping sessions so I don't have to wash them or bring multiple sets. I have a plastic bag for clean bottles and a plastic bag for dirty bottles, both of which I use multiple times. I had been sticking the Enfamil bag in the work fridge because it just looks like a lunch bag but another previously breastfeeding mom at my work just gave me her mini fridge for my office. And I will pass it on when I am done pumping to another gal who is currently pregnant. I really suggest refrigerating parts between uses. Way less work!
I use a Sarah wells bag. It is great. It has a zippered compartment for the pump so you can leave it in your bag and just plug it in and another compartment for your ice pack and milk on the way home. I also have the matching pumparoo pouch for storing my flanges and milk in the fridge between sessions.
I have the PISA backpack. I got it at the same time as my pump. I work at a university, so the backpack is nice because I have a long walk from my car to office and I have the pump and my computer tote as well. It's not cute though, which is kind of unfortunate.
Yeah I can't wash at work so I just throw them in a bag...use them 3 times and then wash when I get home! So much easier and gives me more time to pump!
