Won't take pacifier anymore

Question for everyone, my DD is 10 weeks old today and has just recently started refusing her pacifier. She started using one around 4 weeks and easy doing well with it and now just wants nothing to do with it. I'm bf so she's now decided she wants to use me as a pacifier. I wouldn't mind but it's starts this terrible cycle of her over eating and spitting up A LOT! She does have reflux and is on meds for it. Plus any time at night that shes just needs some suckling i get up and allow her to use me as a pacifier to go back to sleep but I'm then up about every 2 hours. She really struggles to fall asleep. Any ideas or suggestions?

    No suggestions, sorry, but you're not alone!  DD is pretty much over her paci. She's 12 weeks.

    My LO has started to refuse it the first time we give it to him then we try a few seconds later and he will take it.. And he only takes it when he is tired he doesn't want anything to do with it otherwise.

    Could you try a different kind of pacifier? DD really likes her wubbanubs because she can hold on to them.

    I feel you! I'm ebf and my LO has never liked the paci UNTIL just recently when he turned 12 weeks old. We bought the mam brand cause that's what we got at the hospital and he seemed to use it the first few days when he was born, then stopped wanting it. We tried others as well but he would always refuse. Then my babysitter had a brand new one and asked if she could give it to him. I said yes & he actually used it. So I would say keep trying or as another pp suggested, try a different one.

    We just switched to the MAM ones.  I had a few of them on hand and several other brands, but when DS was born, he only took the Avent Soothie ones. They look like a giant green plug, most of the hospitals here where I live, use them.  He now pretty much just spits those right out.  He will take to a more contoured pacifier now at 11w.  He was preemie, so I think the muscles in his mouth and the sucking reflex are more matured now.  As a PP mentioned, you could try a different brand.

    Yup same thing happened to me around 6 weeks, give or take. I offered my pinkie and it worked great. She wants something that smells and feels like mum. Mum's pinkie is a fantastic match. 

    Now Olive WILL nurse at the boob when she's in a mood for a bepi (That's what we call a pacifier in our house) but her sucking is different. It's not those heavy draws that pull milk. It's a gentle nibble. Does your LO not change her technique when she's just babying versus when she's actually eating?

    Yes. DD likes to do this at night, before bed, and gets annoyed if too much milk still comes out. I know I "shouldn't" encourage it,  but she's a great sleeper. I'm not about to mess with what she needs.

    Sometimes I dip the pacifier in some gripe water for the taste to get DS to suck on the pacifier. Since your LO is EBF, you could try rubbing some breastmilk on it for the taste.

    This may seem odd, but have you tried giving her her hand to suck on?  Neither my son or now DD ever wanted a pacifier despite my best attempts. DD loves sucking on her fingers.  It might be worth a try if your DD needs to suck, but won't take a pacifier.

    Thanks ladies. I'm in search for a different brand. Trying one that matches the bottles we use. She has found her hand and thumb from time to time but it doesn't usually keep her content for long. The past two days she's been eating like crazy. I can barely get two hours without her wanting to eat. I breastfeed but supplement with expressed milk in the even when my supply seems to drop. She usually nurses for 15 min or so and does switch to a different type of suckling
