Hello everyone! Question - has anyone experienced their insides (uterus and cervix) being really sore right AFTER ovulation?
Ive been tracking this pain the past couple of month and I've noticed that my insides become really sore the day after my temperature jumps (indicating ovulation), about 3-4 days after my first + OPK, and my CM begins to dry up (also another indication of post ovulation).
I spoke with my specialist about it bc we have been TTC #1 with no avail and tried to see if this was "normal". She checked for cysts and I was all clear. Then said it could be Endo but it only happens every month the day after O. The soreness in my cervix and UT fades in, then peaks (really sore), then fades out. The "peak pain" day is pretty bad - like lay in bed all day bad. This pain arrives like clock works all over the course of 3 days. No pain at any other point during my cycle. AF isn't even bad and I'm not a heavy bleeder.
Ive been all over the Internet trying to find others who have experienced this but haven't had much luck. I found ONE feed that women said they experienced a really sore cervix and UT after O - they believed the soreness was from the rise in progesterone that happens post O, the closing of their cervix and the drop in CP that happens after O.
Sounds about right with my symptoms but it would make me feel a lot better if I could find others who experience this pain.
TIA❤️
Re: Pain right after Ovulation?
I get mild pain leading to ovulation, and a soreness after ovulation - as if I can feel the rupture of the follicle from the ovary.
It's a different pain than period cramps for sure. They've never found cysts for me either.
Probably not what you wanted to hear... but at least your not alone?

Thank you for responding! I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a LAP this month to see if I have endo.
Do do you still have this pain?
I elected to NOT have surgery. There are conflicting opinions as to whether it helps or can hinder (due to causing more damage with scar tissue). If you have extensive endo then its more important, but for me, with mild, didn't seem worth it. We're going to try this round, and if it doesn't work, re-evaluate before moving on to Frozen.

@mrs Reeder I have the same painful ovulation, like double over in pain ovulation. But I also have very heavy, clotting period and having intercourse is extremely painful. (Sorry for the TMI.) When I went to my ob after to TTC for 2 and 1/2 years I had an HSG which showed one blocked tube and one partial. At that point my Ob suggested a LAP to see what was going on but I was in such a hurry to have a baby that we jumped to IVF. After an early MC with my fresh and 2 failed frozen I'm going back to meet with my Ob and discuss the possibility of the LAP now.
I'm not totally ruling out a lap/hysteroscopy, but diet has made significant changes to my pain. (eliminated wheat, dairy, other inflammatory foods based on allergy testing, as well as very limited sugar intake) I used to be doubled over in pain, have numerous nights on the floor shaking and sweating trying not to vomit due to the pain, clotted periods (although still do along with lots of brown spotting before/after) and sex too was super painful. Happy to say my quality of life has increased exponentially since dietary changes. I highly HIGHLY recommend looking up endo diet resources if you haven't already...
I'm sorry to hear about the early MC and failed fresh transfers. Sounds like you've had a difficult road... When do you have your meeting with OB?

I'm calling the doctor on Monday bc my DH and I only just discussed it this week. Ahh the joys of the infertile woman! ::rolls eyes::
Have you ever tried castor oil packs? Also helped with my healing!! and oh so soothing on those bad days...
Careful of following that diet exactly... certain things they say to eat, don't agree with me. We're all unique systems. It's a lot of trial and error, and I've been working on this diet thing for years. I did NOT see progress the first year... it took a lot of dedication and journaling about my food responses (i.e. took a long time to accept allergy/aversion to avocado, it caused me bad cramping/pain about 15 min after eating each time).
I'm not advocating that diet is the be-all end-all. I think it's super important you go and see your doc again as there are going to be a lot of things that diet won't change. I've never felt healthier and yet still can't get pregnant, so it's no magical cure, but again, just the quality of life is worth it for me.
haha... love the eye rolls
