I bought one set of jammies that were just so damn cute that I couldn't pass them up. I'm trying to keep it together and stay out of the baby sections for a while!
Kohls had an 85% off clearance sale, I went crazy, but I've also been buying clothes for years. I think lil bean actually has more clothes than DH hahaha
I was going to tell DH by giving him a little onesie of our favorite hockey team but the shipping took forever and I couldn't wait. But it arrived and he was thrilled. No more baby clothes until much, much later.
Yup. Got a coupon for Carter's after buying preggie pops at Motherhood. So of course I had to use it! But the Carter's I went to literally had 5 gender neutral outfits. So obviously I bought all of them
My husband actually saw a cute boaters outfit at Costco and decided we needed it. It's more of a boy outfit but if we have a girl well just use a skirt.
I also have Cubs, Bears and firefighter stuff I found on clearance. Boy or girl my kids wearing Sports and firefighter stuff
The other part I'm guilty of is books, I think I already have 15-20. I can't help it, it's the teacher in me
I already have a million baby clothes for boys and girls, and I've been obsessing over getting some new onesies for this new one. It's a disease, I tell you.
So go ahead and judge away but I bought a crib last week. The first crib I picked out and saved the link to because it was obviously too soon to buy it went discontinued and now I cant find it for sale anymore. So I was scared that would happen again with the next one I picked out. I just got a raise at work so the first thing I did with my extra money was buy that crib. It'll be delivered on Friday
I bought a fuzzy bear hooded onsie that was on sale at baby gap. I couldn't help myself! And when we told our parents my mom brought out a shark onsie she had already bought (H loves sharks). So I guess we're both bad.
I wish I had the same confidence as y'all! I'm only 6 weeks along and I'm still so afraid of MC. I haven't bought or even looked at a single thing. Maybe after we see the heartbeat next week, I'll allow myself to shop a little. I still won't be buying anything until after the first trimester though.
I have my ultrasound on friday, I'll be 8 weeks. Waiting to buy anything til I see that little heart beat. I'm getting nervous as the day gets close, deep breaths. Then I'm sure I'll give in to buying some cute neutral goodies.
My SO and I bought two little sleepers, one boy and one girl. I told him that was it till we find out the gender. So hard not too! So for now, I build virtual carts online and then leave the site, its kinda like shopping
I haven't bought anything yet, but... well, the thing is... I saw an adorable baby dressed as a bear the other day, got a bit hormonal about the situation, and wishlisted EVERYTHING that had ears.
I bought some socks for my friends baby, but forgot to give them to her last time I saw them. The next time I see them he will probably be too big for them. So I am going to keep the super cute Dino socks for this baby, does that count?

Oh thank goodness I'm not alone!! Lol I found out I was pregnant on Valentine's Day and found a used crib and dresser for $100 a day later so yup I bought it (and they delivered it the same day). I'm refusing to let hubby put it together until the summer but it's in our spare bedroom at the moment.
I've also found aka bought (second hand) an electric double breast pump, nail file, bottle sterilizer, changing pad, and drying tree. Lol if I keep going there won't be anything left to get at my shower.
I haven't bought anything yet. With that being said, I don't think that buying something for our LO would increase or decrease our chance of MC. It seems silly to think that. Just an old wives tale.
I picked up our free gift bag from Target today (for starting a registry with them). It was really exciting actually lol they have such awesome stuff! Bottle, pacifier, sample diapers, wipes, etc. It made my day haha
@heatherperkins14 While personally I completely realize that buying something for a baby has no relationship to the outcome or not, I have avoided purchases so far because of how I would feel about whatever I bought - I think it would make me sad to have it if I lost the baby, and I would feel wrong about giving it away or using it for another baby when it was meant for that one. I'm waiting until we have our ultrasound and (hopefully) see a healthy nugget with a heartbeat. Honestly, I'm also secretly hoping that my husband suggests buying something after the ultrasound, because it would be nice to see him have some excitement (although after our loss I understand why he'd be even less likely to show it this early.)
I say when you see something on sale or clearance, you buy it! (Ha, I also say that when you see something really sweet for your LO you buy it!) Basically, I just support our economy whenever I leave the house. Ha.
(Side Note: I just found a huge stash of clothes that I had bought for my DD last fall for this spring and summer. Everything was such a good deal I couldn't help myself. However, I completely forgot about all those clothes that I squirreled away and now my DD has 3 St. Patrick's days shirts. Whoops!)
I'm wondering if I'm the only person around these parts who doesn't plan on buying anything except absolute essentials (car seat and such) until after the baby is actually born. My friend gave me a Baby Bjorn that she never used, and its in the trunk of my car, where it will remain for the next 8ish months. However, I've already started a Pinterest board with nursery decor ideas! It's just the physical objects that I don't feel comfy with.
I nearly bought clothes at babies r us today. buyonegetone on carters! my husband scolded me for trying to buy stuff already so I put my stuff back. is it weird that I'm feeling nesty already???

I recommend waiting to pick up Target goody bags, because the coupons will expire sooner than the baby gets here sometimes. But I agree, they do have some good deals in those!
Ours was almost entirely free samples! I think there was one coupon for pampers, one for formula (I plan to breastfeed) and one for paint. Other than that it was just free stuff! Although I have heard it's not set so each target might do something different. Here's a pic of what we got.

That makes sense to me. Hope all goes well at your ultrasound!
