Petty Problems Friday! 3/4(The Saturday edition because I'm an idiot and forgot to post yesterday!)

Guys, I'm so sorry for forgetting to post this yesterday! I have no idea what happened but I woke up this morning all, "All shit, I forgot the Petty Problems Post!" Mommy/Pregnancy brain?

My Petty Problem is that I went to Panera and they ran out of oatmeal cookies when all I wanted from them was a fucking oatmeal cookie. Is that too much to ask?!?! Shit.

  • I haven't done much of anything today yet (we have a bridal shower from 5p-10p, which i think is strange, but should be fun), but yesterday I went to dinner at a local pizzeria with my good friend and I got upset because I couldn't eat the pizza fast enough to settle my tummy.

  • My dishwasher doesn't wash my dishes fast enough for me. I feel like I'm always waiting for that thing to finish.

Ooh! I have one this week!
We went to The Melting Pot last night to celebrate DH finishing his masters program. At the end, the check was brought and there were 2 dinner mints and all I could think was "more food? Really?"

ETA: I actually like that this is on Saturday. Makes the weekend bumping a little less boring. :)
I can move it to Saturdays! I think someone else had also mentioned that it can help spice up the weekend.

Also, I like the Melting Pot but DH side eyes it because we're essentially cooking the food so we never go. Boo.  :|

My petty problem is being exhausted at work to the point that i am dragging myself around the halls, but not being able to tell anyone WHY?!!

  • @Michi1382  it is kinda weird that you cook your own food, but it's sooooo good! I have fondue recipes that are copy cat melting pot ones, but it's just not the same at home. It's good, and we enjoy it for special occasions, but for the big things, we get the real deal!
Besides, chopping up bread, veggies, different meats, making the fondue, cleaning up... takes work! It's nice to just have that done for you. :)

Also, everyone talking about eating out and I live where the nearest restaurant is 50 airplane miles away. If I order food to go, it comes in on a plane and is only sorta warm anymore. Plus expensive... so I have to cook everything. Additionally, my nausea has been really mild so far, but seems to be kicking up a notch or two...so fun! Lol!!

  • I keep having a lot of ridiculous "american" food cravings that are not the real deal here. I was watching fuller house the other day and they had double cheeseburgers and i've NEVER wanted McDonalds so badly. haha

    Where do you live?
  • I'm going to Wegman's in an hour to buy all the expensive cheese and rose lemonade my little heart desires, but that means I have to put on pants.
  • @housewifehobbyist I moved 2500 miles away from a Wegmans a few years ago. I'm so jealous of everyone who has the pleasure of shopping there. Especially now. Nothing compares.
  • Turnitin.com was down this morning and I do most of my grading Saturday mornings, so now I'm very behind for the day but I feel like giving up because I totally lost momentum. I might just put it off, too. I think this has turned into a confession.

  • Morning sickness and potty training. That's my petty problem. Two subject matters that should never coincide in the same sentence. :::insert face mask over mouth emoji here:::

  • MH and I had sushi for dinner yesterday and the hostess was confused when I tried ordering a yummy-sounding special roll without the raw fish part, so to be safe I gave up and ordered the boring shrimp tempura and California rolls I like but wasn't craving....

  • @br0co1ii I agree! I love the fondue and their desserts. Now I must coerce DH into going  :D

@kmolleltz I know exactly what scene you're talking about and I went through the exact same emotions about that damn double cheeseburger lol

  • @Michi1382 my husband is the same. The first time we went, he said wait- why am I paying so much money to cook my own food?
  • My petty problem-

Our local Jimmy Johns stopped delivering to our neighborhood, but I realllly don't like the thought of putting on real pants and driving anywhere.

It's not even 10 am and I'm dying for a #5 with hot peppers. Ugh. Pants and sandwich or no pants and no sandwich. Lose/lose.
