Hi. I like to crochet for my new babies an as wondering if anyone else did. I'm always looking for cute easy patterns too. Feel free to post links to good sites for baby patterns.
Aaaaaah, I'm loving this thread already! I haven't knitted in months, but with this baby coming.... I want to now. My mom crochets like everything, but I haven't crocheted in years.
I'd love to knit some booties, or some diaper covers, or a baby beanie... OMG. the possibilities are endless!
I recently made a baby blanket and bear hat for our friends who had a baby in December. They're really easy too (especially the hat which I made in 2 nights!). Can't wait to make ones for pumpkin!
I used to knit ALL the time in my college days. I should really get back into it. Except I usually just knit in the winter. I am too busy playing outside in the summer..
I knit Christmas stockings and sell them on Etsy...but I knit other things too...I plan on making some stuff for baby once we know he or she is sticking around!
I knit a simple basket weave blanket for DS. I might do one for this baby too, even though DS doesn't use his. It looks like this, but I did a box stitch edging.
Knitter here. As soon as we know things are going well I am going to knit so many things. For instance, a little pumpkin beanie. I mean, COME ON. It is required.
I am pretty new to knitting but I made two scarfs for Christmas gifts and am currently working on (and really behind on) a baby blanket for my new nephew set to arrive next month!

I crochet and my husband knits. He's currently working on a blanket for his sister's baby due in May and can't wait to find out what we're having so he can start on one for our baby. I just need to find a good bootie pattern for newborns to try. The one I've attempted is for 6 months and it always turns out huge...
I crochet but I haven't had time to do much of it in YEARS. I made my brother an afghan many years ago, it started unraveling, so I took it back to fix it and I have kept it for like five years now without fixing it. I'm awful.
The last thing I crocheted was a cute little hat with heart earflaps for my niece this past Christmas. Just now realizing I didn't take a picture of it first =(
I'll have to make myself crochet SOMETHING for the baby... maybe you all will inspire me
The new little one will have some knit hand-me-downs, but I'm sure I'll knit new things once we find out the gender. For our pregnancy announcement, I plan on knitting socks for my husband, my son and me and knitting one and a half booties for the new one. I'm going to get a photo with the three of us wearing our socks and me holding the booties (including knitting needles) with the caption "the other bootie drops October 2016."
I crochet!! Yea,, I get all excited about it too. I've started adding a ton of projects to my Pinterest board. I want to do jackets and sweaters and everything for the new little one. I'm currently working on a giant blanket for my 10 yo DS to hold me over until I know what we're having.
I love crocheting! I have two projects on the hook right now, and plans to do a baby blanket once we know the baby's sex. Unfortunately I have zero motivation to finish either of my current projects, so we'll see if anything gets done
I crochet, but I'm not great at it, and not great at finishong projects. I taught my sister to while she was on bed rest and she made SO...MUCH... STUFF. I FINALLY finished my nephew's blanket a couple months before he turned one.
I knit! I have been working on a simple cowl since December - my mom got me qiviut yarn as a gift a few years ago and I finally decided to use it, but I'm seriously lacking motivation and I don't want to start a new project until this one is done. I have a couple of fast and simple baby sweater patterns my kids have worn a lot. I love Ravelry for all things knitting or crocheting. Their pattern search is amazing.
The sweater in this pic is Owlet by Kate Davies. It was so fast and fun (except the buttons took a while).
I'm so jealous of you all! My sister crochets, and has pinned a bunch of stuff to make when the time comes. Can't wait to give her the green light to get started
I knit, but I'm not great at it. I can do scarves and blankets, but nothing *too* complicated. My husband used to crochet but he doesn't remember how. Lol
In an earlier life, I was a professional knitter and crocheter. Worked at a yarn store, taught lessons, made samples and a few commissioned pieces (the most memorable was a "stump sock" as he called it for a man who lost his legs in a car accident- crocheted it in his favorite team's colors)
so obviously I've already started two blankets in white and yellow, and I can't wait for a gender. I'm so happy this is an October baby, so I can at least pretend baby will need knitted goods in Georgia!
I am a lurker but you said the magic word! I love to crochet and mainly do blankets.
The John Deer blanket is one that I crocheted for my nephew for his birthday!
The next picture is not the exact one I made, as the picture I took was too shadowy. The one I made was different shades of purple and white, for my friend who had a baby girl last year.
Sorry if these pictures are huge, novice poster here
Www.ravelry.com and Www.Craftsy.com have free patterns. I knit a lot. I knitted a fox hat and diaper cover for a good friend a couple of years ago. I plan on knitting for my little one when we are in the second trimester. My mom is already looking for things to make.
@PeggyOlsonFTW - I love that blanket. I think I'm going to have to make one for my LO! @BahamaRia - those boots! However, I question if I'm good enough to make those. I taught myself how to crochet so I've never actually followed a pattern before. I've always just looked at something and made it
i crochet but i haven't in awhile. I usually make baby blankets, but i'm currently working on a simple couch throw for my couch. I didn't crochet anything for my son bc i knew of at least 3 other people who had made him a blanket. I want to make him a twin sized blanket for his bed. For this one, i will make a blanket if no one else tells me that they are.
I would love to start sewing. I bought a machine and then never got passed opening the box. That's my goal for summer.

I think I'll wait to start a project when I find out gender (for colors and all...) and if it's a girl:
