Rant: Same ol' story...sleepless nights! *yawn*
Rave: Baby is so active today! Granted, this started early & prevented me from sleeping, but I love feeling him move so much.
Symptoms: Heartburn, headaches, sore back, restless legs...all that fun stuff! I'm also so itchy...my back, stomach, boobs.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
I'm going to hang the floating shelves in the nursery today. I said I was going to yesterday but that didn't happen...H & I went shopping instead.
GTKY: What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO?
I've kind of been obsessed with the MamaRoo since long before this LO existed, so I'm pretty excited about getting that for him. I'm also looking forward to using the Boba Wrap & wearing him. That "wrapping baby" thread also has me pretty excited about the aden+anais muslin blankets I've registered for. There are so many things!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Yesterday was so rough due to a terrible night of sleep, but I slept much better last night and am doing much better today. I apparently need my snoogle plus a least 3 other pillows of varying sizes to support myself. I also feel like I'm waddling first thing in the morning and towards the end of the night. And bending over is not good. It's gonna be a long third trimester...
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Trying to visualize what it's going to be like to have 2 kids. I can't wrap my mind around it yet. At my last OB appt, we went ahead and scheduled all my future appointments for the remainder of the pregnancy. That kind of gave me chills...we're getting there!
Questions? Sometimes my BH contractions kinda hurt. I don't remember that with my first. Anyone else have that?
GTKY: What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO? Gear-wise, I am hoping to be able to baby wear quite a bit with this little one. I already have a Moby, a mei tai, and a sling that I used with my first at different stages, so hopefully one of those will be the ticket. If those aren't just right, I'm planning to head to a store called Cotton Babies once she's here to try out soft carriers and slings to see what works best for us.

I'm excited to use the Solly wrap to wear baby around. I'm also excited to use super cute cloth diapers.

Buying the crib and mattress today. They're the last big purchases and then we can start switching the kids' rooms around to get everything set!!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Had to pee a ton last night but slept ok other than that. Restless legs a tiny bit.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Today a friend is hosting a diaper shower for us so hopefully getting a few diapers! A triplet mom in a FB group I'm in said they used almost 1,000 in just the newborn size!

What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO? Excited to see if I can figure out tandem babywearing. I got a Moby wrap and Twingo to try out. Also, their little hats with their names on them.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Nothing to report really, I'm a FTM so everything feels new.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Painting this weekend and loys of shopping! TJMaxx has their nautical decor out so I'm hitting them up for a wooden whale and pillows for my rocking chair!
Questions? Fundal height. I just need someone to make me feel better about measuring 3 weeks ahead. Dr. Google is just so ruthless and unfeeling. My MW said I have a really low pelvic bone but still documented 29cm. She's not concerned, I know I shouldn't be, but damn it that's scary!
GTKY: What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO? I just can't wait to see him and hold him. I suffered with baby fever for so long and now that I can really feel him moving around its just so real! I'm going to go with baby carrier. We registered for two!

I'll jump on the Aden + Anais muslin swaddles. I've coveted them for a while and scored a good deal. Plus the Bumbo! I think babies look hilarious in them!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: Got to work today and tomorrow, and it's going to be gorgeous outside. Whatever. Rave: H woke up early, rolled over and put his arm over my belly and got to feel the morning dance party. Love! Symptoms: so far, so good this morning. It's usually evening when I'm achy and feeling huge.

Definitely looking forward to wearing baby! I have the Boba and also may be getting the breezey K'Tan. I'm also looking forward to our stroller as we love being outside

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
Rant: This waking up to pee every 2 hours is getting old. Even after limiting my water intake in the evening.
Rave: I love lazy Saturday mornings and our weekend traditions. On Friday nights H and I pull the pillow top mattress from our bed into the living room and have a sleepover with movies and pizza.
Symptoms: I feel like a turtle trying to roll over or get out of bed. RLP, pulling sensations, feeling cramped.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
H and I are going to Home Depot today to get some shelves for baby's room and closet, and I want to get some baskets & handles for the changing table/dresser along with some new outlet covers.

Anyone else waking up super thirsty at night with a dry mouth? Maybe it's just this Minnesota weather and changing seasons.

I think I'm most looking forward to either the baby carrier or travel system we registered for. I want to see how well they can help us keep up with our active lifestyle

Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rave: I was going through some old photos and papers trying to get things organized, and I finally found a record of my birth weight from the hospital. I've been curious about this for awhile now, and my mom passed away last year, so no one really knew.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Trying to de-clutter our house. We're getting our furniture in two weeks so that's when the nursery will really start to come together.

What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO? Either the stroller, Moby wrap, or Ergo carrier, whatever makes Baby most comfortable for summer walks, farmers markets, and festivals. I'm so looking forward to having a summer baby!
@mrsschmity Yes on the dry mouth in the middle of the night!! I end up with a sore throat too. I think a humidifier would help but I’m too lazy to get one.

Rant: I feel like crap this morning. Had crazy dreams and a baby dance party at 3 am. ughh
Rave: Had my birthday dinner last night with my H and it was AMAZING. Definitely one of the better restaurant meals I've had in a while. I was pleased because the last few years on my birthday I felt like I chose poorly.
Symptoms: Just feeling like a whale, constantly blowing my nose
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
Old furniture is getting picked up on Tuesdays so then I'm ordering paint and hopefully finishing that up in the next couple of weeks.
GTKY: What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO?
I think our baby carrier. I just love the idea of being able to carry the baby and still having both hands free. As far as I can tell from trying it on, ours seems really comfortable. Also, the stroller (mountain buggy) we got that is meant for being used on trails should be fun to use later in the summer.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms: Rant: I still have this giant paper I'm writing (although I had to take a Bump-break!). Rave: H went and got me the Tums soft chews because I can't stand the chalky texture of regular Tums. Also, last night while I was doing my paper LO was going crazy so I pulled up my shirt and could see my belly moving! So I spent like 30 minutes video taping just to get a couple kicks to show our family! It was so amazing. I'm so in love with him!! Symptoms: Heartburn, can't bend over (H had to help me get my shoes on yesterday because I can't bend down while standing up), stretching/pulling so I'm wondering if I'm going to re-pop soon (aka pop even more than I have)

GTKY: What piece (or pieces) of baby gear are you most excited about using with your LO? I think I'm most excited about the Ergo carrier so I can strap him to me and get stuff done! Also hoping it will be helpful in going on walks to get some fresh air and hopefully lose this baby weight!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms:
My gi tract has been utterly confused this week. It's gone from complete stoppage to unstoppable to bleeding. Fortunately it seems normal this morning. Sorry if that's TMI, figuring/hoping some of you can relate. I just can't wait to feel normal again. 14 more weeks..... Sleeping is getting harder. My hips and shoulder hurt at night from side sleeping and RLP pain in my groin has gotten bad. Its started to feel like pulling on the front of my pubic bone. Not sure if that's still RLP or something else. Wearing a support belt helps, but its not comfortable sitting with it on, so I only tend to wear it when I'm teaching several classes in a row or out running errands.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
We're going to clear stuff out of the closet in the nursery today and start washing and organizing the baby clothes we got from my sister. We also talked more about names last night and are starting to feel more set on a name. Still need to pick out a middle name and have some alternatives in case when she arrives we decide she totally doesn't fit the name we picked. Also headed to my besties shower today. She's about a month ahead of me. Can't wait to see all the goodies she gets and see her!

My parents got us our Graco Modes Downton travel system that I'm psyched about. I'm also excited about all the bath time gear. We registered for fun toys, spout cover, water thermometer, and and fun baby towels with cute animal heads. I have a feeling I'll be taking a lot of pictures

Travel system, for sure! I have it in my head that we're going to suddenly start taking a whole bunch of walks when baby gets here, which in reality may not happen. But I'm going to keep dreaming about it.

Rave - We hit viability yesterday which is super exciting!
Symptoms - Ditto to the turtle feeling trying to move in bed. I feel like I don't look very big but I'm definitely having more issues picking things up from the floor or standing up from sitting deep in the couch. Otherwise, lots of pulling first thing in the morning that seems to get better as the day goes on, occasional pain in the middle of my pelvis if I sit weird.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
So much this weekend! H is currently sanding the dresser down the rest of the way, then we're (I'm) cleaning the nursery to get rid of all the dust and any paint that managed to get on the floor despite the drop cloth (not sure how we managed to do that...). Then hopefully assembling the dresser tonight or tomorrow. I've also been working on knitting a small blanket because I thoguht the pattern was cute and it gives me something to do at night while we're catching up on shows.

I'm excited for really anything and everything baby at this point, but if I had to pick one it's probably the stroller/travel system. I can't wait to take the baby and the dog out for walks in the park together, provided the summer heat isn't too terrible this year
