Thanks ahead of time for letting me vent.
So monday my little girl had to get a script for pink eye. The inconsiderate pharmacy we use instead of calling after I left the script with them to tell me hey this is really expensive let us call your dr and get something else they waited till I came to pick it up the next day (because they had to order it). So got the dr to call something else in, still had to wait another day because the new stuff had to be ordered also. So 2 days of unruly pink eye on a 2 year old, which also makes her contagious for longer.
Then on thursday I went back to the RE he wanted me to continue taking Endometrin, but the office was out of samples. So they called it in for me, told me this probably has to be ordered and you can pick it up tomorrow. I go today to pick it up, surprise! They didnt order it because its expensive. So I told her "yeah I know fertility drugs usually are, and arent always covered by insurance. When will it be here?" she said oh well it will be here after 2pm monday morning.
So i have 1 days worth to last 3 day. I have literally called every pharmacy in AL. Including all the hospital ones. No one has it, or can get it before monday.
And the dr office is closed, not that they would be able to call anything in that is any more available.
So for now untill I hear back from the RE office DH and I decided instead of taking 2 per day, just take 1 and cross our fingers that everything is ok and that the pharmacy gets it in on time.
Re: need to vent about our pharmacy (sorry its long)
I know this doesn't help you now but I order all my fertility meds (because I have a ton) from a pharmacy called Acaria. They shop overnight for free and if insurance doesn't cover, they always seem to have coupons that they give you. They also will go back to you doctor if there is a cheaper version available (I know this issue was for your DVD medication but still it's helpful). That suck! So sorry to hear! Hope your little girl is doing okay. I hate eye stuff, so I don't envy her
I hate dealing with pharmacies and insurance. I swear they always seem to bring up issues on Friday evenings when the Dr is closed!
