Military wife (loss mentioned)

I am 19 and DH is 21 we have been together for the past 3 years and have been trying for the past year. We finally got a BFP in November 2015 a few days before we got married and the night of our wedding we had a MC. He is now stationed on the east coast and I'm living back in our home town on the west coast. I wasn't planning to move with him just yet as I am not a fan of constantly moving. He was home on leave in the middle of February. We really thought we were just wishful thinking that this time would work and that we would get a BFP. Well luckily for us but with terrible timing we did get it and we couldn't possibly be happier. Unfortunately he has a deployment at the end of the year/ beginning of the year and if I don't move with him he may not get to be there for the birth of his child or even get to meet it. So I'll be off to the east coast soon! And then when November hits I'll be raising a newborn alone until DH returns home to us safely. Sorry for the rambling haha.

I'm sure it won't be easy, but you can do it! I know many military wives go stay with their parents or other family while their husband is deployed. Best of luck to you and a Happy and Healthy 9 months!

Wow, that's a lot to consider!

Unsolicited advice, I'd definitely move to live with him ASAP. If you haven't lived together yet, living with someone is a big adjustment - and having a baby is an even bigger one. I would definitely get in the groove of living with him now while things are (relatively) calm.

Thank you, we lived together with my mom right when we started dating and then lived alone together for the past year. We are very used to living with eachother and can't wait to do it again! But yes we plan to be together again as soon as possible so he can experience the pregnancy because he will be missing the majority of his/her first year.

We are a Military family too. Though he just came back from his second deployment in December, we are looking at the next one already in 2018. He will be home for the first year but not the second. I work about 72 hours a week, we have 3 houses, 4 dogs and 2 other kids. I am already overwhelmed about 2018. Taking it all on by myself is mind numbing at this point. I feel bad because he is so excited to be having a baby and I am just about to loose my mind over something that hasn't happened yet. You can always ramble to me because believe me, I get it.

It's a hard life to try and get used to even when it was just me. But I try and tell myself that I'll be okay. There's a huge military presence where I'm moving, even a girl who I went to school with, so I won't be completely alone. But thank your husband for his service for me(: you're one strong mama!

I am a military wife! With my son my husband (a Marine) missed the entire pregnancy (left at 10 weeks), and the birth, and the first two weeks. Needless to say there was a lot of crying. I found myself become stronger than ever though! I lived alone the whole pregnancy, well with our two dogs, worked up until labor, and was alone the whole two weeks. It was incredibly difficult, but again, it made me stronger than ever!

This time, the husband should be here the entire time, except a few weeks here and there. I am so excited for him to be here!

Being a military wife is such a challenge though, so I empathize with you and we're always here for you when you need to vent!
