Re: **Friday Ticker Change 3/4**

  • Week/Fruit: 30 weeks, cucumber

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Wiggly baby! I love it! Except at 1 am. My back is starting to hurt more, and I think I might be getting some minor swelling in my feet, but it only seems to happen in one pair of shoes, so it might be those shoes.

    Upcoming Appointments: Tuesday!

    Questions For the Group: None

GTKY: What book do you feel like your baby absolutely has to have a copy of (if any)? (I had another question... but I can't remember it!) Them allllllll! At this point I'm saying any Sandra Boynton book and I love the Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen. But if you ask in an hour it might be a different answer.

  • I got up this morning feeling like overnight I had been involved in a car accident. I had severe leg pain in my left leg. It was difficult trying to get my children ready for school this morning, and the more pressure I placed on it the worser. Hopefully this will get better soon.
  • Week/Fruit: 29 weeks/ Hawaiian Pineapple

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I had a bad bout with anxiety yesterday, made for a very long day. I think a lot of it had to do with my last dr.'s appointment where I was told I'd probably be induced. I'm hoping today is better! I thought I was finally done with morning sickness but not that lucky it showed up again this morning.

    Upcoming Appointments: None next week!

    Questions For the Group:

GTKY: What book do you feel like your baby absolutely has to have a copy of (if any)? We already have so many books ready. I'm sure baby boy will listen in to the bedtime reading my dh does every night. I'm assuming he will still be reading though the Harry Potter series in May.

  • Week/Fruit: 31, pineapple

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Had my routine OB appointment this past Wednesday and my doctor pretty much got on me about my weight gain (42 pounds so far)- but in the same sentence told me that I am carrying well, my ankles/feet/hands are not swollen, and my pressure is 112/70, which is amazing. He then went on to tell me that I shouldn't season my food because salt is bad, God help me lol. On another note, my little guy has been getting bouts of hiccups and he kicks me during them like it's my fault- it's really cute. On the symptom topic, down there is super sore and it hurts when I walk, so now I am starting to walk funny, sleeping is becoming more difficult too.

    Upcoming Appointments: March 16

I have no clue, I should look into this lol
  • Week/Fruit: 32/squash

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I am loving all the baby movement but the harsh reality of the third tri has hit me big time and 8 weeks feels like quite a while to go. I just wish my back/hip/pelvic pain would go away. It might be sciatica or PGP but whatever it is it is awful and making very difficult to walk. I went to the chiropractor and it didn't help. Sighhhh.

Upcoming Appointments: Monday 3/7 for a growth scan, can't wait to see baby girl again!

Questions For the Group: Has anyone used a prenatal cradle? If so, did it help?

GTKY: What book do you feel like your baby absolutely has to have a copy of (if any)? (I had another question... but I can't remember it!) This is such a hard question! I want her to have a big library for sure. Aside from story books, when she gets older I'm really looking forward to sharing Calvin & Hobbes with her.

  • I always remember my rants after I post, today's rant: People who say they want to hang out with us because they want to see the belly-- nothing about actually spending time with me or my hubby, all about the belly. My automatic answer is no now. I get wanting to see the belly, but at least disguise it by saying something like "I haven't seen you in forever, and of course I want to see your belly!" not just " I want to see the belly, before the belly is born." grrrr
  • Week/Fruit: 28/Rutabaga

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Right now, exhaustion. But that's because I'm in the hospital (see SVT post). I love feeling her kick.

Upcoming Appointments: it's really up in the air right now.

ME TOO! the first 5 pages of our registry are books because we already have so many I figured it was easier. I actually seriously debated making a separate book registry
  • Week/Fruit: 31/Pineapple

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Dealing with GD, it sucks I hate it. Harder to get up on my feet and put socks on (shoes are slip on!) Love feeling baby kick & move around, although I'm concerned that he hasn't turned yet. Dr said he should be 32 weeks...

Upcoming Appointments: March 10th ob appt & growth ultrasound scan

Questions For the Group: How many things are on your registry? I've got like 200 items, but no big ticket items, its all small things like books, utensils, diapers, some clothes (that I probably don't really need since I keep buying!), a few toys, crib sheets. We're inviting around 27 people to the shower

GTKY: What book do you feel like your baby absolutely has to have a copy of (if any)? LOL I feel the same way about books as some of you, ALL THE BOOKS! Luckily my mom has a lot of children's books, so we can go to grandma's library to pick out books! I've already bought like 20 books for baby. I really like the Little Owl board books.

  • @Sienna516 I have 260 on our Amazon one. We have 3 baby showers (family & friends/ my work/ hubby's work), and I have a mixture of things just because if we can get a discount I'm gonna take it! I also admit that a good 30-50 of the items are books.
  • Week/Fruit: 30/cucumber (doesn't seem right lol)

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: yesterday was having some pain on top of my belly that I'm thinking was just gas. Heartburn all the time so I carry tums with me everywhere. Sleep is uncomfortable but I actually feel pretty good.

Upcoming Appointments: had one on Wednesday that was super quick with a new doc at the practice. I'm now able to go back to my OB for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Next appt is March 18 and we should be scheduling the RCS! It will be so great to have an actual date on the horizon!

Hmm good question! My DD has a lot of books that they'll share but I want to get some books that we don't already have!
    Baby #2 EDD: May 13th!

  • Week/Fruit: 31 weeks, pineapple!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I've been fighting a cold/flu/idk what for a month now and was finally starting to feel better until yesterday. I talked to my doctor this morning and she suggested a few other drugs for me to try so fingers crossed one of them works...I'm so tired of coughing!

Upcoming Appointments: Just had one this morning, going Tuesday the 8th for another sonogram

We currently only have a few nursery rhyme books that my mom got baby for Christmas...beyond that I honestly haven't thought about books. Bad Mumma

  • @Sienna516 we've got 65 things on our registry. We live in a small NYC apartment though and have no room to store extras.
  • We've actually requested that instead of cards, people bring a book to the showers and write who it's from on the inside so we can build a library for LO and tell her about who gave her the book.

My co-worker who is throwing us my work baby shower did that :-) My family one is doing a diaper raffle.
  • I really wanted to do the book thing instead of a card, my mom (hostess) said if I really wanted her to, she'd do it, but didn't like the idea overall.. :(
