GTKY: shamelessly stolen from Mon/Tues! Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle?
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: rants:low back pain is starting as well as hip pain. Headaches, and baby is transverse. Raves: lots of movement! Upcoming Appointments: 3/9
Questions For the Group: None today!
GTKY: Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle?
Honestly, nothing yet! Once we are settled into our new home, I'll start to tackle everything. I'm excited to move out of my Mom's house! It can't come soon enough.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: rants: It's been a great week! The only issue we've had is being unable to find a sturdy book shelf for the nursery wall. Upcoming Appointments: Today!
Questions For the Group: Does anyone have a particular brand of cloth diaper they use or would recommend?
GTKY: Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle? Our nursery is painted (DH wanted a soft blue and I wanted a soft pink, and we were able to settle on a light lilac), and the crib and changing table are set up. Our stroller and infant seat, as well as our pack n' play, arrived last week, and those are assembled and ready to go. I recently made the decision to cloth diaper, and I'm looking forward to shopping around on that task next!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: My belly is so heavyyyyyyy! Also, I can't believe how often I'm going to the bathroom now. On the bright side of things: After Monday's glucose test, I think the sugar crash afterward has helped me to finally shift into a day schedule. I'm ready to pass out by like three or four p.m., but I'm awake in the mornings and early afternoon. And I'm able to stay up a little later every day. I'm still wide awake during the super early morning hours though. Upcoming Appointments: 3/21. Am now at the point where I go every two weeks.
Questions For the Group: None today.
GTKY: shamelessly stolen from Mon/Tues! Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle?
I feel like I'm maybe 1/3 of the way there? Definitely not as far as I would have liked to be by this point. I think the next thing I'll tackle will be the hospital bag, though, because there's not much else I can do until after the shower.
Rants: I need more sleep! Third tri fatigue, 2yr sleep regression, and low iron (mine will always be low...but it's even lower and the extra-extra supplementation doesn't feel like it's kicked in yet) has me feeling a bit like Lady Macbeth (minus the murder-y ambition) these days. Raves: DS and DH are awesome and LO seems to be head down way more often than not this week (yay!). I love that LO is becoming to interactive too. Symptoms: tired, achy feet by the end of the work day, hips that randomly get stuck if I've done too much in a day, sore hands/wrists, heartburn.
Upcoming Appointments: Webster chiropractor tomorrow; I'm so excited! I always feel amazing after those appointments, usually until a day or two before my next appointment unless I do something specific to screw up my alignment (like this week). OB on the 16th.
Questions For the Group: Has anyone used/tried a K'tan Active? (I know it's a long shot here because it's fairly new.) I love my K'tan that I used with DS, but it did get pretty warm over the summer since it's thick cotton. The Active is supposed to be more breathable and looks like it's made similarly to the Wrapsody water/duo wrap which is more expensive, but well-reviewed. I prefer a pre-wrap too since I am already practiced with it so I can pop a baby in there in like, 30 seconds, and also I'm short so I don't really want to fight long tails (my mai tai is where I draw the line with tails).
GTKY: shamelessly stolen from Mon/Tues! Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle? The reorganization/redesign for the shared nursery/toddler room is mostly finished. There are a few decorative things that DH will hang later. Next up is getting freezer meals made and organized, and pulling out the PNP and other baby gear to clean.
Rants: I feel overwhelmed with how much I have to do. Between work, DH and the house I feel like II'm slacking on a million things. So many OB appointments, prenatal yoga and childbirth classes are eating up my schedule. How do you moms prioritize?!
Raves: We got spoiled by our friends and family at our baby shower - so many new cute things for baby!
Symptoms: Still heartburn all the time. Random achy tight feelings in around my belly. Just started getting the sharp pains in the vag coming from the inside.
Upcoming Appointments: Check-in this afternoon! Last time baby was transverse, I think he still is. I love to check his position as I'm getting antsy for him to get head down.
Questions For the Group: I don't actually know if I'm having BH. My belly will feel extra tight or hard, but it's similar to being really full. Sometimes it will feel like cramps or other discomfort. Nothing feels like "oh that's definitely BH" everything feels like it could be related to something else. GTKY: Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle? The nursery is clean and organized - the rest of the house is a disaster. Time to get our butts into gear since the rest of the house is more practical.
kbrands7 any tips for the chiro? I just found one that offers prenatal/Webster not sure what to expect.
@Lusitano8 If you've never to been to one before, expect them to first do an exam in which they check your alignment and muscles, they'll also use an instrument to measure nerve-response and heat (none of it is harmful or puts anything into you, it just takes readings out). That will let them figure out where your problem areas are. When they actually adjust you, expect some popping sounds and it's best to relax your muscles and exhale as they squeeze or push to adjust. The chiropractor's motions should be fairly gentle. They will hopefully have belly pillows that will allow you to safely lay on your stomach, or they may have you lay on your side or sit down. Mine also gave me PT exercises to do between appointments to further train my muscles to keep the bones where they belong.
Week/Fruit: 29/Barbie convertible according Ovia, lol
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Raves -- TWO months until our birth month. Crazy. Rants -- I'm starting to experience some of the 3rd tri fatigue, tailbone pain after exercise, and today I have sore hips/pubic bone after playing volleyball last night. I'm on a very intense league, so if this persists through tomorrow I might hang it up for the season. Upcoming Appointments: Next Wed. TDAP shot and will ask about baby positioning and chiropractic. He also hangs out transverse and breech quite a bit.
Questions For the Group: n/a
@kbrands7 ... I was debating between the original K'tan or the K'tan breeze and I decided on the original. I wish the active would have been out earlier. I registered for the K'tan and it's been purchased.

shamelessly stolen from Mon/Tues! Where are you at in the process of
getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to
tackle? I picked up my breastpump through insurance this week and getting decor ready for the nursery. Last weekend we dug our stroller from our last pregnancy out and got that all set up. Our crib should arrive next week, but my H won't be home until the following week to set it up. It's so fun to see everything come together! Most importantly, we have daycare all lined up and confirmed, so that's a huge relief.
Our shower is on the 20th, so I'll take an inventory of what we need and take advantage of completion discounts then.
I have so. much. to get ready for at work. I need to focus and I should be able to get that all done in the next couple weeks and just stay on top of everything then. I got a verbal yes from a new large client and I'm feeling really good about a retirement plan presentation I gave, so I think I should have half of my sales goals complete by the time baby is here. That will be a huge stress reliever.
ETA -- 99% sure we decided on a name. I was pretty certain I would never decide. I am a happy camper!
Rants/raves: yay to only having 10 more weeks! My repeat c/s is scheduled for May 12. I survived the flu but have felt exhausted and have trouble sleeping. Babies moves have been hurting quite a bit and hiccups lately too, but my 3 y/o son got to feel her kick yesterday
upcoming appt: tomorrow for rhogham and tdap then 3/14
GTKY: all done! This is baby #3 so just impatiently awaiting her arrival!!
Rants- none, actually feeling really good Raves- I just found out that unless something weird happens I should have my regular OB for delivery!!! Symptoms- soreness by my ribs on the right side, I think a mix of a growing belly and some random kicks to the ribs
Upcoming Appointments: had one today, I think I gained like 10 lbs this past month, but my belly has grown a lot
Questions For the Group: @kyleewaller I'm trying cloth diapering and went with best bottoms, I like the way they are set up and had good reviews. The cloth diapering board here has some good info to read through and I think someone posted a chart comparing diaper types
GTKY: shamelessly stolen from Mon/Tues! Where are you at in the process of getting everything ready for baby? What is the next thing you want to tackle?
DH and his dad are building a changing table, I need to clean out the closet in the baby room, and otherwise we are waiting to put everything together after showers March 26 and April 16. We got the crib assembled last weekend so it's actually looking like a baby room now
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I finally have had a couple good nights of sleep. I think that's a huge rave! My groun is still extremely sore and feels like it's pulling apart, but I have physical therapy on the 15th so hopefully I can get a little help Upcoming Appointments: I just had one today (US, Glucose test, TDAP, and normal appt.) the doctor told me he won't let me go past 39 weeks because of my history so it looks like I will be starting my maternity leave in the first week of May

We're somewhat done - we have the nursery painted, the glider and crib set up and some clothes washed. Hoping to have the nursery closet organized and all furniture set up by end of March. April - I'll focus on getting cloth diapers and bottles/pump parts washed and ready to go as well as having my hospital bag all packed.
