IUD after c-section

I had my first baby via c-section 6 weeks ago and I'm scheduled to have an IUD put in on the 21st. I've read that the insertion is less painful if you've had a baby but, since I didn't labor at all (baby girl was breech), that won't apply to me. Anybody have an IUD put in after a scheduled c-section? How was it?

    I had an IUD put in before having kids. It wasn't too bad. Take 800 mg of ibuprofen before your appointment. The initial bit of cramping is worse than the actual insertion itself. The worst of it lasted a couple hours but you may get random cramps for a few days. Good luck!
