LO is my 4th and my other three are much older so food recommendations have changed a lot since they were babies. We had his 6 month appointment today and after all the talk about BLW at 6 months I expected to be told that LO could have pretty much everything. He started solids at 4 months and has done really well even with thick purées, textures and some (soft) chunks. We have no allergies in our family. However his pediatrician said no meats/eggs until 9 months and to wait with most carbs until closer to then also, the exception being puffs and teething biscuits. She said fruits (no citrus), veggies and baby yogurt is fine. Has anyone else been told the same thing?

Personally, our family Dr is foreign trained and doesn't know much about infants. When I'm worried I take her to the ER I work at and get an opinion from Drs I trust. I'm going with my own research and Health Canada guidelines; EBFing til 6mo then BLW.
