Hi everyone, I am new here

Very tentatively wading in here! I am so happy and excited to be pregnant, but I am nervous too because I know it's still very early. It has been a roller coaster for us. Husband has some health issues and we tried for several years on our own before getting help. We were so lucky that our health plan started funding IVF just before Christmas and I got my period the next day, so when I called in my day 1, things moved very quickly. We are so lucky that it worked on the first try and they called me today to say that the second blood test, where they except to see the HcG double, was good. In two weeks, I go in for the first ultrasound.

Husband is a lot more nervous than I thought he would be given how much preparing we did for this. He is worried about money, my job (I am a teacher who does not yet have a permanent contract) and how his parents will react (they worry a lot about his health issues). Also, I have been sick the last week or so and he got very worried about that! We are trying to just go one step at a time and not focus too much on the big picture just yet.

Anyway, look forward to meeting you all and here's to healthy and uneventful pregnancies for everyone :-)

    Welcome! 
    Even the healthiest of us are a little nervous for a variety of reasons. 
    I keep telling myself to be as positive as possible but be aware of the reality. But babies need us to be positive for them right now. 
    Wishing you a very healthy and happy 9 months and sending along all the positive vibes.

    Welcome! Your nerves will never be the same ;) just when you think "I will be more comfortable when I hit this milestone or that one" there is always something else to be nervous about.  I worry every day about my kid and he is on the outside now, I just have come to accept that nervousness comes with the territory.  That being said all of the good stuff totally outweighs the anxiety! Good luck!

    Welcome! I'm also a teacher waiting for a permanent contract. It can be quite stressful. Congrats and good luck to you!
