I don't think you can create a poll within an existing thread though, in fairness to OP. Polls are much easier to work with so I don't blame her. I did the same a few weeks back myself.

Ok people, I get it. Good grief. Why take a website board SO seriously? This is my first baby....just trying to have some fun. I would honestly rather get opinions from people I don't know than hearing negativity from my family. You can't create a poll on the other threads you suggested, I knew that before I posted this. That is all.

We take it seriously because your kid's name is much less important than a thread where a mother is having health issues or something is going on with her unborn child. THAT is why we have specific threads for certain things. It lets the more important issues come up on top. A lot of people seem to disregard that and we get random ass threads about God only knows what.

And you would get opinions, don't get huffy because people are pointing you in the direction you need to go. We just don't like clutter. If you notice how organized this board is compared to others. That is all.

@HCRussell26 hi you appear to be new here. Clutter sucks this is not WTE or baby center where you can't even follow any of the real threads because every other post is a help me name my baby/ baby name opinion thread. And when these threads pop up they move other more important ones such as congenital heart defects and others where OP's are needing to give updates about scares or concerns.

I see you found the thread on this board for names but seriously no need to get huffy when redirected as a newcomer.

Because if every single person who wanted opinions on names posted their own poll, that's the only thing we'd see. Sorry, you're not speshul, just post to the thread clearly labeled for opinions and we're all happy to provide them.

I am sorry, but who are you tell us how to run this board. You have started one thread (this one), and only have responded to it. At the beginning of this board, it was decided on the vibe. The vibe is that we will have certain threads that is a catch all for all subjects under that thread. Like symptoms for the month, randoms for that week, a 'wdyt' of our name choice thread, daily ticker change thread, sex/US thread, HDBD thread, and once a month siggy poll thread. This is our WE are a general whole like it, and have been doing it since we joined the board in Nov/Dec.

While are always welcome new members, we do expect them to follow the general vibe and flow of the board. We love new people and wish people would come out of lurkdom. Each forum and board is different, just as mentioned prior, like WTE, Baby Center, TCF and Baby Gaga. I have tried each of them, and I did not 'fit' in. So instead of attempting to change the vibe, I moved to a board that fit ME. Just like I did in HS, find people that fit me instead of changing them.
