Storytime: Do you remember the night/day that you got pregnant?

***STOLEN FROM JULY 2016*** Well, obviously we all know "how" you got pregnant, but are there any good stories or memorable nights to tell as to how your little angels came to be? Were you TTC or were you surprised? We all know roughly when we got pregnant so let's hear it ladies!

Here is mine

I have had the Mirena since DS was born 11 years ago, in the end of September we decided to "pull the goalie" and I was told it would take about 6 months for my body to adjust before we could really try. We travel every weekend for my sons hockey tournaments and DH is the coach--well after a huge win and a little partying..hello baby! TMI- I do remember that we had to use into the hotel bathroom to get busy, because son and a friend were sleeping in the bed next to us and I felt like a teenager sneaking around.

For DD we got drunk on New Years and got a hotel for the night 9 months later hello baby. for DS we got wasted again on my birthday and got a hotel again 9 months later

Lol I'll add to the "drunken" escapades!! Hubby and I had been playing roulette for over a year with no luck.
DD went to grandma's for the weekend, Hubby has to work and I went out with friends for a ladies night. I came home feeling really really good and instead of going to bed like a normal night out, Hubby and I did the deed.

Since I was charting, I'm 99% sure I know the night I got KTFU. It was November 13th, which was both the day of the Paris terror attacks, and the day our nephew Parker was born - it was also a Friday the 13th. I was on day 38 or something of my cycle (the first I was charting/first we were trying), and I was pretty sure I wasn't going to ovulate, but I was still temping and using OPK's for the hell of it. I took an OPK after work and for the first time ever, got a positive, so I figured I should make sure we did the deed just in case. We did.... and exactly two weeks later, we got a positive HPT and I couldn't have been more shocked.

DS was a honeymoon baby so there were a lot of times it could have been, but it is safe to say they were all semi-intoxicated

For this LO we were charting and having a ton of sex around the day I O'd so I'm not sure which time it was. Needless to say it wasn't quite as sexy as it was with DS.

For any Green Bay Packer fans out there... Ours was the night in December that Aaron Rodgers through the hail mary pass in the endzone to win the game. SO was pretty excited! I knew I was close to ovulating, because I used an app to track my periods and we had been off birth control for 18 months already. I was going out of town the next morning for 5 days, so that was the only time we did it in that time frame. Apparently all it took was a Packer win! Ha! I joke we should name one of the babies Aaron/Erin.

Heh... I love how we conceived. Husband and I had talked about maybe starting to try for a baby while on our New Zealand vacation but ultimately decided to wait until after and maybe start trying after our February ski trip. Things did not go as planned... instead of getting up and out of bed for brunch, husband and I got it on. It was passionate and amazing and one of those times that you feel warm and fuzzy after for the rest of the day. Husband didn't want to stop and grab a condom, I said I didn't want him to stop either. Boom. Baby due Aug 6th. We're having a kiwi.
Now when I cry or am generally upset about pregnancy or life or whatever husband will apologize for not getting brunch. It makes me giggle.

I don't remember the exact day but I had just gone through a miscarriage and was still getting my blood drawn to monitor my beta levels and make sure they were going down. Hubby and I wanted to start trying right away once they hit 0 so I was also taking pregnancy tests every now and then to see the levels go down and once it didn't show up I knew I was almost to 0, if not at 0. Anyways miscarried ending of October, took a test beginning of November and the line was so faint I didn't even notice it hubby did, then a couple weeks later I got the results back that my HCG was at a 6 so the next day I took a test to see and BAM it came back dark and within seconds too so I knew my HCG had gone up and indeed it went up to 299 within a few days. Hubby and I couldn't believe it we were over the moon with excitement. Now I'm almost 17 weeks pregnant with a baby boy

We were TTC. It was Thanksgiving, and our dog ended up in the doggie ER after I'd been cooking since 6 am. We were exhausted, and looked at each other like "uggghhhhh" - so it didn't happen. (Married life, lol!)

I'd been charting so we knew the timing was perfect, and we'd been trying for awhile, and may have limited "Okay to TTC" from the doctor based on my health. And we *really* wanted this little guy.

I believe we started the next day with me announcing to my husband "I'm still ovulating!" and a quickie before work, lol. I was like "No way that worked... sigh."

10 days later we got the faintest positive on a FRER. My husband asked "Does it count?"

It counts!

We rented a house with DH's family during thanksgiving weekend... After everyone left we got a bit wild in the living room...
I was sure I had missed the ovulation window because we had thin walls and DD in bed with us all weekend... Guess not!

We were doing it daily since we were TTC so I'm not 100% sure which day it happened, but I'm about 98% sure that we conceived (or, at the very least, that I ovulated) on my mom's birthday, so there's that.

DH and I were wanting a relaxing weekend away and it just happened to fall when I thought I should be ovulating, so went to Dubai for a couple of days. To our surprise it worked out perfectly. Now we'll always have a pretty cool story of conceiving in Dubai.

So both times we were being monitored at the fertility clinic because I had taken clomid that month. Both times I ovulated really late on Dec 21st. Really freaky. (And I think after I stopped pumping and got my first postpartum period after #1 a little after New Years, the dates would line up that I ovulated about Dec 21st that year as well)

1st - hubby's sperm count hadn't recovered yet so we did IUI morning of Dec 21st with anticipation I would ovulate that night or early next morning. 2nd - I was supposed to ovulate over the weekend that Saturday or Sunday, Dec 19th or 20th but my ovaries took the weekend off. Literally zero pain until my post ovulation confirmation ultrasound Monday, Dec 21st. She said I hadn't ovulated yet which I already knew because the pain was only just starting to come back after 2 days of unexpected relief. I was secretly relieved because we hadn't done it enough that week or at all that weekend because my sister in law came into town to stay with us for the holidays. So Tuesday morning was our last chance. We ditched our almost 2.5 yr old downstairs with his aunt and 2 yr old cousin and had a quickie upstairs. That's the one that took for sure. Found out with a + HPT that I was pregnant Jan 4th.

Ours was one of 2 times. Either the night of a friend's wedding - we were sharing an air bnb with other friends, so it was super romantic - in the bathroom while I was changing between the wedding and going out...OR it was the following Monday before work. We'll go with the wedding story. Haha.

I wasn't charting yet, but using a basic phone app to track my cycles. According to it, I was going to be out of town on my ovulation day, so we had to do the deed the night before I left. That night also happened to be my company Christmas party/dinner. We came home both a little drunk and absolutely stuffed from the meal. I still had packing to do, and needed to get to bed soon so I could make my morning flight. It was one of those times when you're "trying" but you really don't feel sexy or in the mood. But we made it work! Later in the month I really wasn't counting on that time being successful, and was already looking ahead to the next cycle to start over, but lo and behold my period was a few days late. We were both shocked as we stood in the bathroom looking at a faint line on a test strip!

DH & I decided to get frisky because our roommates were both at work! I made sure to tell DH to pull out because I thought I was ovulating. Well DH forgot that he was supposed to pull out! Surprise! Here I am 17 weeks pregnant with the best surprise ever!

We were going to wait until August/September 2016 to start trying but now I am due 8.8.16

For this one I'm not sure about the timing. DD however I know the exact day. DH had been begging for us to ttc, but I made him wait until the month of our wedding (Aug. 2014). I wanted to wait for a week before the wedding before getting frisky on our wedding night, but about four days before DH convinced me otherwise. I never charted but was pretty aware of my cycle and knew I was probably ovulating and a month later I got a positive. That pregnancy I blamed completely on DH

I know the exact weekend, because we were TTC. I wasn't charting, but my cycle is super regular, so I knew I'd be ovulating and used an OPK to confirm.

We left DD with my parents (rare, because they live across the country and just happened to be visiting) and booked a hotel in a little town nearby. We got dressed up for dinner and checked into the hotel for a quickie in our fancy clothes before dinner. To seal the deal, we did it again in the early morning. So, one of those two times worked!

Wednesday morning before thanksgiving! DHs parents were due in town that afternoon so we had to squeeze in a quickie since my temp hadn't spiked yet. I was scared we were going to miss our chance so I was thrilled when the test was positive!

HAHA YUP! DD and baby boy to be were both conceived on 9/6/2013 in a petri dish. DD was transferred as a 6-day embryo on 10/6/13, and baby boy, also a 6-day embryo, was transferred on 11/24/15. If you think about it, they're sorta twins. So weird!!!!! Though, DD implanted several days before this one did. I got a BFP on a FRER with her 3 days after my transfer, which is SUPER early, but I felt implantation cramping, it was unmistakable. With this baby, I didn't get my BFP until day 8 after the FET, and actually by that point we thought it didn't work because we got a BFP with DD so early. My group went out to lunch that day, and something made me hesitate to order a rare burger with a runny egg on it, and then I noticed that my boobs were kinda sore, but I chalked it up to all the hormone injections I was still doing. But later that night I was like F it, let me just take another test just to see and low and behold there was that second line! Next day was my beta test and it confirmed!

The first time I got pregnant was back on June 5 and it was really romantic to DH and I. We were at his cousin's wedding and after the rehearsal dinner we got it on in our hotel room. We had just decided a couple weeks before that that we were going to no longer prevent. I had literally just gone off my birth control. I got my positive a few weeks later but unfortunately miscarried on July 4.

After I took 8 weeks to recover, we decided to try again. The first month we just didn't prevent again. After that I couldn't take it anymore and I temped for a couple months to make sure we were getting our timing right. The second month I temped (November) I had us on a schedule so it wasn't that romantic. We had such bad luck last year that I didn't expect to get a positive that month. But five days after ovulation I started getting a bad pain in my side, which I ignored. Then three days after that I walked into my room and could smell the clean laundry waiting to be folded. I had a feeling to test because of that so I took one still not expecting anything. But a super dark second line appeared within seconds. I was shocked and so excited that I ran around the house screaming, which got my fur babies super excited too. After that I called DH up and yelled the news over the phone.

I am also a drunk story....
My husband and I were trying but not consistent, if it happened it happened. I will never forget this baby. I went out for my best friends birthday it was a girls night. Came home to my sober husband ya. I officially conceived on my friends bday.
The funny part of the story is it got it in and she didn't..no b day sex

Well I went to an infertility OB Doctor after trying for a year without success. My cycles were irregular and I'm guessing my timing was the main issue. At the infertility doctors he did an US to see if I had PCOS and I didn't but I was however getting ready to ovulate. I thought I already did since I had a temp spike and positive OPKs a couple days ago so I was surprised to see that there was a huge follicle just waiting. Dr sent us home with the orders to DTD every other day for the next week. If we weren't successful then I would start on meds. Luckily two weeks later we got a BFP! I also ended up in the ED that night with a corpus luteum rupture which apparently only happens after you ovulate and get pregnant. Needless to say if I hadn't had taken a test I would have found out that night anyways.

I had a hunch that it was "that time" for DH and I to get busy (we were trying), and we went at it that morning. We were both so exhausted that morning that sex went nowhere. LOL We made up for it that night, and well... I guess it worked.

We got pregnant while on vacation in Gatlinburg (in the Honeysuckle Suite haha)

While we were in the hot tub, I told DH that we might as well not try tonight because he's scorching the goods... Apparently it didn't matter...

Maybe the higher altitude? LOL

We went on vaca with two people and (little did we know at the time) came back with three. Yay!

DH and I were just having sex all the time. We had a miscarriage in August and my hormone levels never returned to zero. Doc said we couldn't get pregnant again until we got back to zero because I wouldn't ovulate until then.
We had just moved in with my parents, we live in Texas and it was one of the first chili fall-ish mornings.
We had decided to wait until we bought our house to try again so we were just having fun really. And since my hormone levels were still in the teens we weren't worried about conceiving.
But sure enough after a little fun one Sunday morning we had a baby on the way!
I actually had no clue I was pregnant until thanksgiving day when our family members announced they were pregnant and I cried out of joy and sadness because of our loss.
My husband looked over at me after we left and said I think you're pregnant lets get a test. And sure enough!

We had our wedding in September and we took a long honeymoon into October to Italy. When we got back I went off the pill for the first time since I was 17. My next cycle we got pregnant so I'm not sure when I ovulated but I did some research, because I always do so I had an idea of the week or so that it would be possible. I was ready to have a baby so I initiated a few times that week, so I don't know which day it happened:) I found out I was pregnant Thanksgiving morning though.

For DS 1 we went away to Jamaica for a second honeymoon/1st anniversary. Our plan was to get KU but my OB said it might not happen right away. Well the coconut water must've done it because we had a stow away on the way home. Friends daughter went to the same place, same excursion drank the coconut water and got KU as well.

#2 I was doing a lot of OPK and lots of disappointed months. I was our last month trying. I just couldn't do it anymore. While I tested and had a green. Kicked DH in the leg and said I'm green lets go before DS wakes up.
Yep I'm so romantic.

I was charting so I knew that I hadn't ovulated on time when I thought I would. We were trying and when it was the night I thought I was supposed to ovulate my OH had pleasured himself that day and "wasnt' feeling it." Needless to say a fight started since this was month 5-6 of trying with no luck. The next morning my temp jumped up a bit and I took advantage and we had some amazing morning sex. I told him that we better have caught that eggie otherwise I would be super disappointed but sure enough bfp that cycle even after I thought I was out.

It's our lucky babes.

It took us four year to have DS, and I even ended up having an ectopic WHILE pregnant with him and losing my right tube. Needless to say, I thought it was impossible for me
to get pregnant naturally, what with only one tube and needing so much help the first time. I was nursing DS so didn't get a period for 10 months, and then only had two cycles before I started to feel weird. I was super thirsty, hungry and had heartburn all of a sudden. I was a whole day late for my period and thought, I'd better take a test just in case...and BAM. Pregnant. I almost fainted from the shock and I think neither of us believed it for a whole month. We are super excited we didn't have to go through the whole process of treatment again, but it was definitely a surprise!

Ha! Yes! It was round two in the morning (one of the few mornings without kids) on December 4th. And for some reason, we thought the pull out method would work for round two! Well...here we sit, 16 weeks pregnant!
