  we bought one for DS and he isnt able to sit up on his own yet so it doesnt really work well, he sort of just slumps to one side.  we are waiting until he can sit up and then we will put him in it! for now we just put a little water in the bottom of the bathtub and lay him on his back, he loves splashing around!

  that is the one we have. she loves sitting up in it but she can sit on her own. i wouldn't suggest trying the bath seat yet if he cant' sit on your own- it will only make bath time that much harder for you. the seat is really for babies who can sit pretty good one their own.

  can you take the sling out of your tub? and just let him play in the water. it will give him more room in the tub to play, kick his feet.

  we got it as a gift and tried it out with DS when he was 4 mo old and sitting a bit on his own.  I hated it!  it kept floating up a bit and I still had to lean over the tub.  I just get in the bath with him and it is SOOO much better...and fun!  GL

  We have it DD loves it. She can reach her toys and splash around. It took some getting used to and figuring out just where to position it so I could be comfortable while sitting on the floor yet still be able to reach her and get her clean without having to break my back over the tub side.
