How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Naval orange.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I'm anxious for my anatomy scan! I didn't get any genetic testing done (wasn't offered) so I'm anxious for the scan. Not that having a disabled child would change anything, but I hate the unknown.

Questions? Are you guys intentionally eating more, or just more hungry? I'm finally getting my appetite back and know I need to gain some lbs. wasn't sure if I should intentionally add some snacks or just eat when hungry.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I have been feeling tired this week and still nauseous off and on. Hoping the 2nd trimester treats me better than the first!

We opted to do the Panorma test and will have results in two weeks. I'm anxious for that and counting down the days!

As of right now we don't have anything planned but I'm okay with that. We travel often and will have to travel after the baby is born.

How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Onion

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I've been eating so much better with little nausea but woke up today with a sore throat and attempted to eat, immediately got sick. I'm a stickler when it comes to taking meds while pregnant so I hope this sore throat doesn't turn into anything and can be toughed out.

Which is a week before I'm due. Lol. But being able to take Lucy with us next year will 110% make up for it. ☺️

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? My nausea has finally subsided! I am still pretty tired at the end of the day and have been falling asleep super early but hopeful the 2nd trimester will be better! I had the NIPT done Wednesday of last week and just anxiously waiting to see the results.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Still battling the "morning"(all day) sickness. Everytime I think it's slowly getting better it comes back even worse than before. Also been having pretty bad headaches. On a much happier note, we are so excited about having a boy! I still can't believe it! It feels so much more real now!

How many weeks today? 14 weeks! Really feeling like I'm into this thing.

How big is baby (fruit size or other)? Lemon, or, according to one app, a house mouse (ew).

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Feeling much better this week, I have more energy. I ate some seafood for the first time in ages, in fact I had a big time craving for shrimp this week, so I went with it. The cravings are starting to pick up, too.

Questions? When do I really have to stop lying on my back? I like to read in bed at night and that's the position that works best for that. Would I feel discomfort if it were really a problem?

I don't know if it's a "babymoon" per se, since we would probably do it even if I weren't pregnant, but anyway, we're going to Santa Fe for memorial day weekend. We were watching "Better Call Saul" and got inspired, so we went online and found a good deal on a hotel! We live in Colorado so it's a driveable trip. I'm pretty excited about the food. I'll be sad to have to skip the margaritas, but I'll compensate by eating my way through town.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Officially can't hide my bump anymore, but I'm excited to finally see it. This nasal congestion is terrible! I have bad allergies anyways and it has gotten so much worse in the past week. I'm on oral meds and nasal spray just to try to keep it under control.

I'm still nursing my almost 10 month old and I'm starting to stress out about weaning him, having a month or two off nursing, then being able to produce again...any advice or experience?? I don't want to tandem nurse. My son is a boob-aholic and I think if I wean him, he will be less clingy and easier to handle (like the way he is with my hubby or when I'm not around). Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I am still getting over this cold. Coughing too much = losing stomach contents, which then makes me not want to eat or drink anything (because I don't want it to just come back up). Baby symptoms - they are still about the same. I am starting to sleep better, so I have a bit more energy. Let's hope I spring back to full energy soon!

I think going back to my old work schedule will be very helpful, too.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I pulled a muscle in my back a couple of days ago and have been basically crippled for the last 2 days. Other than that and way to frequent crying I'm feeling pretty good!

Questions? Anyone have suggestions for keeping my back in better shape going forward. I have a 2 yr old so heavy lifting is basically unavoidable.

@Bookhousegirlthe best workout I found for my back and abs is just doing planks. You can do them at home or the gym and don't take very long. I definitely find my lower back is sore the next day after doing them but I like knowing that they're helping!

@Snaps816 my OB indicated that this becomes a concern around 24-26 weeks, once the uterus is heavy enough to potentially impede a specific artery. She said that if that happens you will know because you wI'll feel light headed or dizzy. She told me that basically if blood can get to your brain it can get to baby. You might check in with your own physician about it though.

@Bookhousegirl I have been having back pain and what has helped me are a few yoga poses. I do some windshield wipers (lying on back, knees bent and feet placed on a rolled towel on the floor close to the bun. Move knees side to side, just to the edge of your hips, like a set of windshield wipers) to massage the sacrum and release tension. Then, happy rocking baby, cat/cow, ancient prayer or down dog, and forward bend. You can add in planks and assisted squats too (leaning against the wall) or dead bug really helps your core (lie on back, limbs in the air, move limbs like a dying bug or sway them like sea weed). Just don't do anything if it hurts.
