Sorry to say, I don't think there is such a thing for everyone. I'm pregnant with Baby C now, twins are 21 months. Right up until I got pregnant again, I weighed the same as pre-pregnancy, but my body changed. I expect it'll change again with this one. It's a small price to pay for our blessings, though.

You will have a "new" normal, your tummy will flatten but you will likely have some loose skin unless you delivered very premature. People call it "twin skin".

Boy do I have twin skin alright! I delivered at 39 weeks & I was measuring at 60 weeks! I lost the weight, all 65 pounds, in no time at all. But the saggy skin....yuck! Luckily that can be fixed! lol
My belly never looked like it did before. I had a lot of extra skin from getting so big even though I lost all the weight plus 10 lbs. I'm currently 36 weeks with a singleton so it'll be interesting what my belly looks like after this one!
7w PP now- starting exercising this past week to try to get rid of the..gosh I don't even know how to describe the belly! Apparently breastfeeding helps, but mine are exclusively breastmilk and my fat flap isn't going down much at all. I think the time might also depend on the damage inflicted by multiples. I have diastasis recti (separation of abs) and there are some exercises I cannot do as they make it worse. I expect a longer recovery and shrinking time because of that.
I'm almost 7 months post partum down to my previous weight and pants size but my stomach definitely looks different. I made it to 38 weeks and gained 37lbs, I'm only 5'2" and it was all belly. I also had diastis, I found some good exercises online and they have helped but I'm pretty sure my c-section self and overall stretched out looking skin are here to stay. I'm greatful to have escaped NICU time with my babies, but some days I mourn my pre twin body.
'twin skin'?! Yikes, I'm not looking forward to that! But yes, for me after two singletons my body was never the same - not bad - but different. I lost the weight quick with my first two but the tummy has always been the problem! Thank goodness for flowey shirts!
I'm one year post partum after c section.. I weigh about 15lbs less than when I got pregnant and I have quite the flabby tummy

I think it depends on your body pre pregnancy. With my daughter, I returned 23 pounds down into size zeros in just over two weeks. With the triplets, I gained 49 pound and it took about 5 months to get to the same look, weight, and feel.
March 2011: Off Nuva, cycle back to "normal" for me: No periods since 15 years old.
June 2011:Provera&50 mg Clomid; Progesterone:0.7
July 2011:Provera&100mg Clomid; Progesterone:3.29
Met with RE:No Clomid response, begin injectables Sep
5 mg Letrozole and Ovidrel in the interim month. Cut out running (was a distance-runner), cycling, eliptical. Restricted to weight-training, walking, pilates. Brain MRI normal. Being physically over-stressed is the reason the body stopped producing prog.
Late Sep 2011: Menopur, Ovidrel,& IUI (10.10.11):BFN-Great injectable response: 2 mature, 6 near mature, many smaller; Problem: 9 cysts! Dr: IUI too uncontrolled for number of viable eggs & age. On to IVF! IVF ER 12.6: 37 mature eggs, 27 fertilized, froze all to avoid overstimulation; FET 1.22 (2 Grade 1)=BFN; FET 2.22 (3 Grade 2)=BFP! Beta 10dp3dt=291; 12dp3dt=644; HB 3.26!! 174 bpm: Vanishing twin almost completely absorbed 10wks
Re: When did your belly return to normal?
5 weeks PP with twins and I just stared at my stomach this evening as it bounced around like a bowl of jelly.
