My dogs are elderly and have seen me pregnant before but my cat is young and she won't leave me alone. She's been just starting at me for days and then she'll go from being super loving to trying to attack me whenever I move.
Yup FTM here and my fur baby is usually very independent since before I found out I was pregnant she became attached to me goes everywhere with me and is constantly cuddle always has to touch me. I think she know she knows something is up is is being very sweet.
I wish my dog was being more affectionate! I don't think she knows, but she knows something is up. But that's just because I've always been the one to walk her 3x a day. Since we did a FET, right after I had to go on be dressed and then I had to limit my activity so for the past month I haven't been walking her and she hates it! I feel like she's been acting out in protest by breaking into the hampers and stealing my clothes...poor girl!
Oh yea! I have 3 cats and a dog. The dog started staring at me 2 weeks before I knew and it was creepy. I would move on the couch and she would jump up. The cats now don't seem to care, but when I go for a much needed nap, everyone comes with me.
The best is I think my dog is having sympathy pains. I get up half a dozen times to pee at night, and she gets up to go pee too. I have morning sickness, she started puking. I'm tired, she's tired.
My dog is more of the I want to be in the same room as you but on the opposite side of the couch type, he'll never sleep with us when my husband is home, he will occasionally when the hubs is at work.
This time I was pregnant my dog started cuddling and sleeping with me. I wonder if he knew something was wrong, he was incredibly loving especially after my miscarriage.
This time I've noticed nothing different...I do think he's going to be such a good big brother when we do have a baby.
My cats are definitely more attentive! Very cuddly...much more than normal!

@TKBain it's a good thing for your pup to get used to other people walking her. It's one of the things I have read because you want them to get their exercise but once baby is here you might not always be the one taking them out to play or on walks it's a great way to start adjusting to big fur sibling life.
I'm somewhat disappointed that my cat hasn't started acting differently, judging from what I've read on other boards. She's a terrible pregnancy indicator.
@housewifehobbyist mine too. My last, unsuccessful pregnancy, she slept on the bed with us a bit - but she occasionally will do that for a few nights and then go back to her usual routine, so I don't know that it was related. She's not doing that for this one. I don't think our cat even cares enough about anything but herself to act differently if she did notice something was different.
with the morning sickness with my first i spent a lot of time in bed or on the sofa...my dog was always with me. Since morning sickness has kicked back in with this one he normally hangs around me if he's not occupied with my husband.
My dog has always been super clingy, so nothing different there, but my cat has been howling all night long. Dh works overnight so it's just me most of the time in bed and he'll walk by and bite my fingers or arms and then climb on the dresser and just meow until i wake up. And then of course i have to pee.

That's a good point. I do also want to start slowly setting up the nursery so my doggy can slowly start adjusting to a new setup but I think that will wait for second trimester! My poor Shiba is not going to know what is happening!
With my last pregnancy, my cats didn't pay much attention until we suddenly accumulated new places for them to hide and sleep......then got upset when they found out it wasn't for them. Also when they were laying on my belly and the baby kept kicking them. Didn't like that for some reason
My cat is an absolute daddy's girl, though if H isn't around I am a good substitute for lap cuddles. She usually sleeps on H's pillow from like 3am on. But now, even before I turned a positive, she's been preferentially sitting on my lap in the evenings. And then last night she decided she was going to lick my face at 4am and then fall asleep next to my head purring up a storm. Which is cute and all, except that the purrs are deafening and made it really hard to go back to sleep. STOP LOVING ME.
