Okay,
So this is my third, and my husbands first child. I used a Doula for my 1st and 2nd, and am going to with my 3rd also. (Yes I highly recommend one!) I was curious if anyone has used one and been able to claim it on their insurance. I believe she is worth every penny, but it would be nice if we could receive a little bit of a break! Please everyone share your knowledge or ask me why I say YES to Doula's
Re: Doula's
I am a birth doula, and I have had better luck with insurance if the client pays me after service then gets reimbursed through insurance like PP stated. I will usually write up a small report detailing labor and any interventions used or avoided during delivery for the client to send in with the claim.
