High Chair Questions

So I've probably already answered these myself, but just wanted to get opinions from you ladies!  

When can I start using the setting for sitting up on LO's high chair?  It has an incline setting, which she's been in, but she can sit up pretty well now and we are looking at starting to try food.  

Also, when I can use the wooden high chars at restaurants?  I have one of those shopping cart covers that I think will work in that as well.  

LO will be 6 months on the 8th and can sit up pretty well unassisted.  Thanks!

    When they can sit up pretty well. I think you can use it now. We went out to eat last week and used the high chair at the restaurant.  He turned 5 months on the 11th.

    My little one cannot sit unassisted yet but can comfortably sit in the high chair sitting position. I would give it a try.
    As far as wooden resturant high chairs I had to wait with DS1 until he could sit well unassisted but I didn't have one of those cover things.  I think with one of those you might be able to try sooner?  Maybe the first time you plan to try it have a backup plan just in case he's not comfortable.  
    It's so great when they can sit!  Makes so many things a lot easier.

    We started using our high chair at 4.5 months.  Now at 22 weeks she's used to it and although she can't sit unassisted yet, she does well.  We wrap a towel around her for extra support in case she flails.

    We've used our high chair for siting since 4 months, restaurant high chairs since 5.

    I just put LO in the restaurant high chair last week (on the day she turned 5 months). I didn't think she could do it yet but she did well. I folded the blanket I had in her car seat up behind her for support. 
    That being said, I was so excited that it worked that we tried it again last weekend and she was slumpy and we ended up taking her out right away. 
    Maybe it has to do with how tired she was, how long she'd been supporting herself that day, etc.

    We've been using our high chair on the upright setting since probably 4 months or so when baby had good head control. Prior to that, we'd been using it on the reclined position. We haven't tried restaurant high chairs or shopping cart seats yet ... LO is pretty good at sitting but needs a spotter: He's still a little top heavy with that huge milk gut of his! I have a pillow-like cushion thing that's supposed to fit on restaurant high chairs and shopping carts, so I may try that next time since it would give him enough support.
