Ovulation after loss

I lost my stillborn daughter at 23 weeks 1 week ago today. Still bleeding up til last night. Woke up with what feels like early O pains? Is this even possible. Was told to expect a period in 4-6 weeks.

So sorry for your loss. I imagine anything is possible, but I would think your body is pretty confused right now. Your uterus is contracting back to it's normal size and with dropping hormones, I'm sure everything is in flux. Are you on pelvic rest or are you planning to try right again?

I would assume pelvic rest. Doctor said no sex til after checkup. I'd really like to start trying again.

I'm so sorry for your loss - my gut tells me it isn't likely that you're ovulating, but everyone is different. I expect that the timing of ovulation following a loss is a bell curve - most will take X amount of time but some will take less and some will take more - a small minority may take much less or much more time.

To expect a period in 3 weeks, you could theoretically ovulate 2 weeks prior to that.

Do you have an opk that you can test with? Any signs of fertility like cervical mucus?

Did you have a d&c? If the pain gets worse, give your on a call

I am sorry for your loss. Devastating. As a PP said, I would lean more towards uterus contracting or some other cause, though anything is possible.

I'm def thinking it's not ovulation. Back to bleeding this afternoon. Guess it is just uterus contracting.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's likely your uterus continuing to contract down.

I was told pelvis rest for 6 weeks after my 23 week loss.
