My son just turned three months old and I am wondering if it is too early to move him to his own room. I have heard that to reduce the chance of SIDS to have the baby sleep in your room until 6 months. But that seems like a long time. We tried him in his own room and he sleeps fine. But the second night he spit up and was chocking on it. Luckily I heard it on the monitor and came running in. Now I am nervous. What are you all doing?
Re: Moving baby to his own room?
We have a monitor in his room and we feel safe letting him sleep there. He still wakes up 2+ times a night so I'm with him multiple times anyway.
We both sleep great and she has been doing long stretches since week 5. From 5 hours straight to now 10 hours at 2months+.
I do have a motorola baby monitor, with camera and sound so I can check if her eyes are still closed without leaving my bed, otherwise I keep it turned off. (i dont need the monitor to hear her, just to see).
i would say yes you can put her in her own room !
With my first two they were in cribs right from the start.
Anna is in a bassinet next to our bed. She can roll from tummy to back (she hates tummy time) but has no want to roll from back to tummy .
I think our bassinet is 15 pounds and when the start rolling from back to tummy. I'm hoping to have her in it till 4-5 months
This word for word.
