Rants/Raves/Questions? This pregnancy seems to be quite different from my first in terms of what I'm craving + some really bad nausea. I'm guessing it's a girl, but I know it can go either way even though it's different. I can't wait to find out because then it will seem more real. It's still very much in the surreal camp. I think after the trauma I went through a couple months ago (my son being extremely ill) I'm afraid to really attach to this baby in case God forbid something happens. I feel like I've dealt with enough heartbreak.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? We met in college my freshmen year at a party. I was totally sober because I had a dress rehearsal for my show the next day and I tend to lose my voice when I drink, he was drunk. He took my number and came to see me in my show the next weekend

Upcoming appointments? Just a routine visit tomorrow.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My bump/blump is tremendous. When I was pregnant with my first I couldn't understand why people sometimes felt embarrassed by the size of their bumps or wished they were smaller. Now I get it. I'm the same size now that I was at 20 weeks with my son.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? We were stand partners on the first day of undergrad. He asked me to dinner almost every night afterwards until I finally said yes a few months later. The rest is history.

Upcoming appointments? Not till next week but I did call my doc yesterday and I am getting my NIPT done this week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I feel like my doc might yell (ok not yell but you know) at me for gaining weight. If my scale is right have gained 10lbs since my 1st appointment on the 2nd. But I figure once it warms up we will be so active it will level itself out. Is anyone cramping after sex? I was cramping so bad the other night I kept walking up to see if I was bleeding.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet We met at work, he was my boss. It took us a few months to work but once we did we were inseparable.
And yes I feel/look like I am 20 weeks too!

Upcoming appointments? 12 week appt next Thursday. I'm excited to hear my baby's heartbeat on the doppler, and know everything is going well in there.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I wish everyone didn't expect DH to be dying for this baby to be a boy. He doesn't care either way and he loves our daughter more than anything. I think it's dated and sexist to expect every man to want a son.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet?
We met through my brother. We all went to the same college, and DH and my brother lived in the dorms together. DH and I were just acquaintances for 3 years. We'd end up at parties, tailgating, or group functions together, but nothing happened until he became my brothers roommate their last year of college. We got to know each other better, and he asked me out. We've been together since!
How many weeks? 12! I feel like it's a milestone, though I know 13 will be the exciting one, that's when the first trimester ends - at least for me. I know there's a few ways to shift the weeks around, but yay!

Upcoming appointments? Just had 1 yesterday, all was perfect. Heart rate at 170bpm and I'm obsessed with my OB/GYN (same one I had for my Dec14 pregnancy), she's blunt and honest and fantastic. Next appointment in 4 weeks, anatomy scan scheduled for April 20- we will get to see baby again then and find out the sex! YAY!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Raves - announced to facebook last night and work this morning. Feels great to let the blump hang loose, even wore a maternity t-shirt today under my cardigan, so it gives me a bit more length, much more flattering
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? I was his Resident Assistant at URI, so basically I was in charge of making sure he didn't get into too much trouble while under my watch (along with about 60 other students who lived in my tower). We became great friends over the year he lived in my building, maybe a little flirting here and there but we were both seeing other people. The following year we reconnected in the Fall as soon as he moved back to URI and started dating in September. That was 2008, engaged in 2011, married in 2012. First baby December 2014, and here we are preparing for a September 2016. YAHOO!!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Hubby bought me a snoogle, not loving it right now. I kinds wish he would have gotten me a new body pillow. Oh well maybe it will work out. Found a new dr. Who we really like.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? We met at work when I was 19. We've had a job together every since except for the last 2 years. I'm hoping so day we can work together again, we both love it.we love being around each other. We don't get sick of each other which is crazy. I love him he's the best.

Upcoming appointments: I think it's March 16th. I was looking at my google calendar and there is nothing for my 15 week or 20 week. Hopefully I still have it written on a piece of paper. Not technically an appt, but I'm waiting for the call back from my MaterniT21 blood test from last week. Hoping to hear back in the next few days.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm hoping today is better. I got hit hard on Sunday and Monday with horrible all day nausea and migraines. It was brutal. So far, I'm doing ok today. I hope it was a fluke. I forgot how bad that all day nausea can be.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions: Homemade Rice Krispy treats. I've made two batches in the last two weeks. Coke from a fountain pop machine. It seems to help with my nausea and migraines, so at least I have that going for me. Aversions...where do I start? Topping the list is ketchup. I want to barf anytime I put it on my daughters' plates.
GTKY: We met on Match. The receptionist at my office wanted me to make a profile, so we did. She looked through the guys and picked out a few including my husband. I decided to message him and it was his last day of his subscription. We exchanged emails and the rest is history. The first and only person I messaged on Match and if I didn't message him that day, we might never have met.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I just did blood work and the vampires kept 25 tubes. With DD it was 14.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? We met online. It was a free dating website called tagged. After talking for about 2 weeks there, we decided to go out. After 5 months we got married, and next month is our 6th anniversary.

GTKY: How did you and SO meet? I was married to my mentally abusive ex. Current DH started working at Starbucks with me and it was pretty much love at first sight. We went on a couple of group outings and after our first real date I asked for a divorce
What size? A peach! It's crazy, and it seems like just the other day thebump.com said "poppy seed."
Upcoming appointments? Next week. Not expecting anything novel, just a ton of bloodwork (my OB waits until at least 12 weeks for all that fun stuff).
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm on day 5 without the husband -- he's traveling for work -- and things are going pretty well with the boys, but I'm exhausted and way behind on chores. I'm going to skip the gym after work today so I can stem the rising tide of laundry, dishes, and other refuse.
I informed work last week and things went pretty well, better than I was expecting. I'm so glad to have that out of the way.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? Playing World of Warcraft. I've always been a gamer, and we started chatting over voice chat during some loooong raids. I kept raiding to chat with him long after the all-nighters got old.
We met in person, hit it off, and we've been together ever since. I said it in another post, but the family who games together stays together.

We went to the same church and high school. We were friends then, but didn't start dating until the end of college.

Upcoming appointments? Check up the first week of March, then genetic screening the second week.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I thought my migraines were linked to my periods. Nope, I just get one a month for no reason I can determine at all whatsoever. I'd also like to rant about pelvic rest, because it's seriously the worst thing ever in existence, and my poor husband is a saint.
GTKY: How did you and SO meet? Friends in college. Actually we were both part of a Star Wars tabletop gaming group.
I knew hubs was special when he passed on a dice roll for a sweet cloth +spirit kilt so I could have it uncontested. Those were the days.

@camichael84 I'm with you with the boy thing. DH adores DD and, honestly, I think he'd almost prefer another girl. But SO many people assume we want a boy and it never fails to surprise me!
