Suggestions needed

My grandmother died in September, and if it turns out that this baby is a girl I would love to honor her by naming the baby after her. Her name was Audrey. I would really rather use Audrey for a middle name, but it's kind of tricky to come up with a first name that sounds right with it. I love classic names. My DD is named Caroline. So far, the name I keep thinking of that I like the best is Kate Audrey. My DH is kinda meh on that name though. I just thought maybe you ladies could help me come up with other first names for the middle name Audrey. Thanks so much!

Other names I like are:
Grace
Abigail
Lucy
Georgia
Violet
Charlotte (DH hates though)
Olivia

Those are my favorites, anyway, I just don't really think any of them flow well with Audrey for a middle name. Something about the 2 syllables in Audrey is throwing me off or maybe I am really overthinking ha.

Is there a reason you don't want it as a FN? I think it's a lovely name! Grace Audrey sounds nice.

I think you could go with one of the favorites. If it doesn't flow perfectly that's ok because of the special meaning of the middle name.

I like Violet Audrey, Georgia Audrey, or Charlotte Audrey the best out of those. The 2 syllable thing doesn't bother me but I wouldn't like the FN and MN to both end in "ey/ie"

The reason I'd rather use Audrey for a middle name is because it still hurts pretty bad to think about my grandma and I feel like every time I called my baby's name I would feel like crying. If it was a middle name, I'd still be honoring her but maybe not be so sad all the time. I hope that made sense and didn't sound stupid.

I agree about the first and middle names not both ending with the "ey" sound.

Grace Audrey is really pretty to me too and I have been thinking able it a lot lately as well. I also think Grace sounds nice with Caroline (DD).

Sorry only part of my response showed up. Her middle name was Charles. Ha! I know that is so weird. She said her parents let her uncle name her and he named her after a singer Audrey Charles. She said she was pretty sure he was drunk at the time. That story always cracked me up, apparently everybody in my family didn't take baby names as seriously as I do.

I know everybody is different but my sister named her son after a family member that died. At first we all called him Baby Grant because it was too weird to just call him Grant but after a year or so it eased out. He loves the special meaning of his name.

I say this because I love the name Audrey as a first name. However, I think if it's just too much for you. I do prefer a shorter fn paired with Audrey. I like Kate Audrey or Claire Audrey.

You might be totally against this but a lot of people are giving 2 middle names. Caroline Audrey Grace is Beautiful. Not sure what your last name is, and I agree 2 middle names can be a bit much but hey it's possible.
