What's on the menu this week? I didn't make a menu, but I know we're having pizza, pasta, and chicken tacos. The other nights will be hit-or-miss.
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? I haven't been doing much healthy stuff because the morning sickness was more in the afternoon. It seems to have switched to the morning now, so dinners will hopefully be a bit easier to handle. As long as I have the energy that is.
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots? I've been pretty anti-meat for the most part, so we shall see if that continues, or if I can stomach the chicken tacos tonight.
ETA: Does anyone mind if I move this to Saturday instead of Monday? If I ever manage to plan menus, it's typically on the weekend.
What's on the menu this week? I usually meal plan, but I am SO exhausted, so all bets are off this week. Plus DH will be out of town for most of the work week. I'm seriously considering making spaghetti with meat sauce and eating on it throughout the week. Add a salad. Easy and won't take much time. I can hardly keep my eyes open.
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? Eh....we were out of town/on the road most of the weekend, so there was a lot of fast food.
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots?
I'm just eating a lot in general.....

Monday - Smoked salmon with Orzo Pasta
Tuesday - SO is out, so I am having dinner with a friend
Wednesday - thinking about making chicken pot pie
Thursday - We have my stepkids on Thursday night, so probably something they like, roast chicken and some roasted veggies?

Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? Eating what sounds good---luckily I've been craving a lot of fruits. Except last night, when I was craving spaghetti and meatballs!
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots?
MUST have mangoes, grapes and guacamole
MUST NOT have roast beef, braised beef, steak..... meat sounds repulsive... except for my craving last night for meatballs.
What's on the menu this week? Monday - Shrimp Scampi with whole wheat pasta Tuesday - Pot Roast with veggies Wednesday - Shepherds Pie with ground turkey Thursday - GNO with my best friend so SO is on his own Friday - haven't thought that far yet. And Saturday we will be meeting a bunch of people out for dinner and I get to watch everyone drink and use the excuse that I'm the DD.
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? For the most part, yes. Trying to stay as healthy as possible. But eating what sounds good too. Had pizza over the weekend and it was worth it! Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots? I'm addicted to Shepherds Pie and Pot Roast so those are a must have this week. Water, lots of water for some reason. And I have a sweet tooth so I'm trying to be good and eat dark chocolate. And for some reason chicken is grossing me out. I couldn't even look at it yesterday.

What's on the menu this week? Made a big batch of DASH diet Mexican bake (https://allrecipes.com/recipe/78004/dash-diet-mexican-bake/) last night, so the leftovers will be dinner tonight and perhaps even tomorrow as well. Probably rotisserie chicken and quick steamed/roasted veggies for dinner Wednesday night because that's a busy night for both of us. Still need to plan Thursday/Friday.
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? I'm trying really hard to be healthy and it's been going okay so far. Had a slip-up at game night with friends Saturday night where there was a ton of junk food out but otherwise it hasn't been too bad -- I'm in a sweet spot right now where I'm not nauseous and not having food aversions, but I'm also not ravenous and if anything am having trouble stomaching a lot of food at once. Hopefully that will last at least another week or two so that I can get into a good healthy-pregnancy-eating routine that will last me through the next few months.
On a related note, does anybody have good bring-to-work pregnancy lunches that they like? Most of the time when I pack a healthy lunch it's either dinner leftovers or involves some sort of deli meat . . .
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots? Not yet . . .

@simcal18 my lunches have always been grab-and-go type things. Lately though, due to aversions, I want nothing that I normally bring. Here's my typical assortment of options: Cheese, greek yogurt & granola, fruit of some sort, crackers, a granola/protein bar, salad, rice... I usually prep a bunch of small containers and then just grab whatever seems interesting in the morning.
@simcal18 - I'm not sure this is the healthiest, but I've been doing frozen Amy's burritos (hey, at least they are organic, right?), a fruit of some sort, and a veg of some sort (usually cherry tomatoes). Then I'll have a Greek yogurt later on for a snack.

@2015dee I LOVE Amy's burritos! Will definitely be buying a couple on my next trip to the grocery store. If you're eating them with some fruit and vegetables that sounds like a perfectly healthy lunch to me. Certainly better than chicken mcnuggets. :-)

what's on the menu this week? Monday: chilli Tuesday: homemade venison burgers on whole grain buns I made. Wednesday: elk roast with veggies and a tossed green salad. Thursday: crust less quiche with broccoli, spinach and chopped pea shoots Friday: homemade veggie burritos with black beans Saturday: BBQ venison with roasted potatoes and Greek salad Sunday: homemade pizza with chicken, kale, artichokes, pepper, onion and olives
Are you able to keep things healthy or just eating what sounds good? For the most part because I meal plan in detail I can keep my main meals healthy, snacks are really my downfall. There is no planning going my food for snacks, I eat what I want usually.
Any must haves or must have nots? I'm hugely into salty food so cheese, pickles, olives, chips ect. I really can't stomach turkey, most ground meat (my hamburger may be a grilled portobello mushroom), and the thought of cheesecake just about does me in.
@br0co1ii I think Saturday would be an easier da for this because I also do also my meal planning on the weekend.
@simcal18 I use one of the divided toddler containers and put nibbly type foods like a bit of meat, cheese, crackers, antipasto, cut up veggies, hummus ect into each cup that way I can just decide what looks good at that moment. Also veggie wraps with a vinaigrette dressing and some feta cheese are one of my favorites.
What's on the menu this week? Monday- Brats, Sweet Potatoes, and asparagus Tuesday- DH works so not sure yet... Wednesday- Blackened Chicken Thursday- Tilapia
Lunch- 21 day fix Chicken Noodle Soup!
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good?
I've been having more of a sweet tooth but I've been doing pretty well.
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots?
Nothing yet... Although I did boycott broccoli today, not sure if it was me or the broccoli being too old.
I would definitely be in favor of moving this to Saturday because that's when I typically meal plan.
What's on the menu this week? Monday- Ethiopian food leftovers from dinner out last night Tuesday- cilantro lime shrimp with Spanish rice Wednesday- roasted salmon with lentils Thursday- Swedish meatballs with egg noodles Friday: roasted chicken with Garlic sauce and rice Saturday- lemon gnocchi with shrimp and asparagus
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good?
I've been doing pretty well. I'm definitely craving lots of salty carbs between meals but my meals have been healthy. I've been eating a lot of dried seaweed to help with the salt cravings and that has worked.
What's on the menu this week? I keep forgetting to make one. I'm always exhausted and starving when I get home and cooking just sounds like a nightmare. Crockpot meals have been my saving grace, when I remember. I'm thinking perhaps chili and bread bowls tomorrow? No idea what we're eating tonight...
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? I'm happy to report that mostly healthy is what sounds good. I craved salad with DD believe it or not and this LO seems to be asking for the same things. Carrots and lettuce and cucumbers and stuff are calling my name. I think part of it is they aren't heavy foods so I don't feel so gross after eating them.
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots? Still no major aversions or uncontrollable cravings. Yet, lol.

What's on the menu this week? Monday- Was my birthday and I was stuffed from a late birthday lunch so, smoothies for dinner! Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? Mostly only craving fresh healthy foods so it's been pretty easy. Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots? Pizza and most meats seem to be my biggest aversions, I gag at the thought of them. I absolutely have to have a big breakfast. If I eat a light breakfast, I pay for it the rest of the day with a constant gagging feeling and the most extreme nausea. When I do eat my big ol' breakfast, I have moments of tolerable nausea accompanied by a few food aversions.

What's on the menu this week? BF and I went out for Mexican last night, yummy! Stopped at the grocery store on the way home and grabbed stuff to make a yummy avocado/tomato salad which we will have with a rotisserie chicken for dinner tonight. We also grabbed stuff for grilled chicken and potatoes, and to make our own pizzas.
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good? We are both "trying" to eat healthier, but I am doing nothing drastic. I've already cut caffeine and drastically upped my water intake... that is enough for the first month
Any MUST Haves? MUST have-nots? I have been craving spicy foods! Wasabi Peas are my new favorite snack
I'm still nursing my daughter so I made an intense meal plan (7 days of 3 meals plus 2 snacks) in the hope that I'll make good use of all the extra calories I suddenly have available after switching from a weight-loss mentality. And I'm barely following the plan. Highlights include chicken fried rice with a bunch of wasabi, honey sesame chicken over quinoa with broccoli, easy shakshuka with kale, chicken and black bean quesadillas smothered in Greek yogurt and hot sauce, and too many English muffins.
Are you able to keep things healthy? Or just eating what sounds good?
Yeah, am not feeling sick so I'm trying to make good choices. DH is out of town so I'm throwing together random stuff for me and the kids.

Spicy (wasabi and hot sauce) and tangy (had a nectarine Greek yogurt this morning which I hardly ever do and it was the best thing I'd ever eaten).
