No babies yet?!

First off, I was MIA during our second tri, so I apologize in advance if someone lost a baby during 2nd tri or delivered a micro premie that I don't know about. But... How have we not had an April16 babe yet?! I'm almost 35 weeks, so everyone is getting up there in weeks. I think it's great! But still really surprising. Sounds like we'll get one this week based on our Wednesday ticker change posts, still pretty awesome that we haven't had several teensy babies yet. Here's to as many babies staying put until at least 37 weeks as possible!!

Obviously, this isn't something we can control ourselves, but still awesome that we've managed to avoid any super early deliveries!!!!

Also, is anyone else annoyed that despite two requests on the April Birth Announcements thread to @BumpAdmin that it has yet to get pinned...? I mean, I know we don't have any births yet but the thread was made, its been requested twice to be pinned, and yet still nothing. Does someone need to actually HAVE a baby before they'll pin it...? And therefore search for the lost pin?

I was thinking the same thing and am really, really hoping that we didn't have some m/c or preemies whose moms just left or didn't want to post...I'll take this moment to say that we can be a wonderful, supportive community for the rough patches that come with pregnancy.

I am so surprised, and completely relieved, that we haven't had any A16 babies yet! Hopefully our babies continue to be good and stay inside for many more weeks!

I saw this and went "omg don't jinx us!" I'm betting money (literal money) that I'm going around 3/17. I'm due 3/26 though. (Not going to do anything to make that happen though, I promise! Except maybe marathon sex... :P)

Considering I'm towards the end of April, I'm guessing it won't be me! Haha. I have been thinking about how lonely I'm going to be here once all of you start having your babies and dropping off from regular posting to snuggles. Fair trade, but still.. :P Who else is an end of the month-er, anyways?

I think that there are a few for you that I will be sorely disappointed if you give birth before your EDD, since I feel like a few of you for some reason are doomed to hit 41/42 weeks.

I'm starting to feel like I did when I was days away from DD being born and it totally freaks me out. I'm only 32 weeks and so not ready. My coworkers all have bets on when ill deliver and not a single one thinks I'll make it to 39 weeks. I need at least 5 more weeks of mental prep haha

I wondered if a lot of people left for that original Facebook group and maybe there have been some losses or babies, but none that were still active over here. Hopefully not the case, though!

Totally agree! I also started freaking out because I'm now farther along than I was when I had maternity photos done with DS.

Totally agree! I also started freaking out because I'm now farther along than I was when I had maternity photos done with DS.

My BH have moved from just tightening around the bottom of my uterus to the unmistakable downward push from the top of productive contractions that gives me anxiety every time it happens. Nothing is ready to be pushed down haha!

@cmjenkies I'm an end of the month-er. My actual DD is May 1. I won't make it to May, though. If I go by my others, and this is saying nothing comes up, this baby will be born anywhere from the 10th to the 24th. I've never made it past 39 weeks and I have a feeling my dr will induce before then anyway. The 13th would be awesome…I'm totally rooting for that day.

@fbanke42 I've been thinking those thoughts too lol. On my old BMB for DD1 we did group superlatives near the end and one was who a thought would deliver first (though we did have some micro preemies).

This has surprised me too. I glad all the babies have stayed put. I keep having dreams I going into labor or having DD2 on 3/30 but I am not due until the 15th so...I am guessing they are just crazy preg dreams.

I can't believe that we are all getting so close.

I'm due April 20 but have never made it past 36w4d...... so my ob laughed at me and told me not to expect to make it to April 1... he says it will be last week of march.... but I really wanna make it as far as possible!

I'm due 3/31, but I've had a "talk" with my daughter and she is not allowed to make her appearance until 3/23 at the absolute earliest, and will get a nastily worded eviction notice on 4/7.
I have tickets to a Neil DeGrasse Tyson lecture on 3/22 I WILL be going even if my water breaks and floods the auditorium. If that happens, do you think he will bless my daughter with the powers of science?

Add me to the shocked but oh so happy list!! I'm 32 weeks and hanging in there. My babies always come early and I went to the hospital with preterm for my last pregnancy at 32 weeks so I'm all sorts of on edge these days but hoping, praying,and crossing everything that I make it at least another 5 weeks. Keep on cooking April babies!!!!!!

Man, why do I feel like this jinxed us somehow? I've actually been kinda worried coz I've had headaches the last couple of weeks, I had to do another 24 hour urine and after being constipated for pretty much the duration of this pregnancy I now have diarrhea. I really hope that doesn't mean anything significant. The fb group there is a mom on there whose water broke last week.

@rebelone I've been having the floaters and light headedness, but so far my BP has been normal, so I'm hoping pre-e stays away. I had back contractions the other day at work, which made my OB make a face. I'm really hoping pre-e stays away (or shows up after 39 weeks) for all of us.

DH told me today that I'm only allowed to go into labor on a Friday after he gets off from work. Yes, I can totally control that. He also asked me to please have a short labor. Let me write that down and send a note to my cervix so that it knows to not take a million years this time to dilate.

@fbanke42 yes I also noticed the floaters last week and it came with my headaches. The doctor told me to call if I see any flashes or persistent headaches to call. Just got my creatinine results back. It's .64 and the range is 0.55 - 1.02 so I'm assuming that's good, right? Plus, on Tuesday, my blood pressure was 128/72 which it normally hangs out a little higher. Last week it was 142/82 but I've been on bp meds since before I got pregnant. I'm just so nervous right now.

@rebelone I started stressing at about 28 weeks. My pregnancies are only about 12 months apart, so I'm freaking out that pre-e could show up any day now. With DS, it showed up at 38 weeks, so I keep thinking this time around it may show up around 35-37 weeks... Which is way too soon. I'm 33 weeks based on my original EDD, 32 weeks tomorrow based on my adjusted EDD. So if my hypothesis is correct, I may have an elevated BP and swelling in about 3+ weeks. Seriously hoping I'm wrong. At least with DS, my pre-e was mellow compared to some of the other moms that I've heard from.

Should I be worried about the diarrhea and the headaches?

this baby does not feel like he's going anywhere. I have a feeling he will come a few days before my due date. I was born on my due date and I was my moms first child, so perhaps I'll be as lucky. This baby is larger than average according to the scans so I do not under any circumstances want to go over my due date

@Knottie9983816 and @elasticheart13 Headaches and seeing floaters are a normal pregnancy symptom, but they may also be a sign of pre-e, which doesn't cause labor, but can cause other issues which leads to you being induced instead of going into labor naturally. With DS, I was already in labor when they induced me, but they needed something extra to try and help me dilate so thy they could get him out ASAP.

I've had low blood pressure throughout the pregnancy, but I'll talk to my midwife about it next Monday for my 34 week appointment

@elasticheart13 I've been really happy that my BP has remained normal so far. I'm terrified at each appointment that it's going to spike up and the testing will begin. The 24 hour urine test was not fun. Nor were the every other day NSTs. DS had to be heavily monitored while I was in labor. He went into distress twice for very very short periods of time before being born. If I can magically not pre-e this time around, I would be really happy.

I have a feeling baby boy will come early. EDD is April 23 but scheduled c section most likely for April 18. I have to take contraction meds till about 36-37 weeks (end of March) but I feel like the day I stop them he'll be arriving soon after. I get lighting croch almost everyday and feel like he's trying to dig is way out. So much pressure down there!

I was thinking exactly the same. I'm due 4/27 but think my RCS will be the week before. Not sure yet but I will keep you company as long as I am here

Sometimes the sudden diarrhea can be a sign of preterm labor if you are under 37 weeks. Kind of like your system cleaning out before you have the baby. Of course with any luck maybe it's just a bug too, which I'm hoping what I had last night will pass. I'm just getting nervous because I had to do the creatinine again and I got these daily headaches and now this. I'm hoping my body is trolling me about all these things.

@rebelone Hmm, I haven't really been feeling any activity from LO today so I'm gonna go to L&D in half an hour if I still don't feel any activity after the chocolate and ice cold water I had per the midwifes instructions. Will ask her about the sudden diarrhea
