LOL no this has not happened to me...however I have started to gag for things like beef jerky (which my DH loves to eat) and when he has to spit...it's horrible!
It's a reflex if u stick it in too far. Your cough reflex is much more sensitive now. This happened to me occasionally pre-BFP..so don't freak!
The Knot won't share my Bump Siggy, so here's the low-down:

8/16/10 - Got Pregnant, again!
5/14/11 - Welcome to the world, Talia Hadassah!

Never happend to me but your ears nose and throat are all connected through your Eustrasion (spelling is way off i did it from sound lol ) Tube. Maybe you have a swollen gland or something
LOL Only on my left ear, and only if I go too far in. It doesn't bother me on the right side.?
Don't worry about damage- that's not what is causing it. I once had an audiology professor tell the class he had sometimes cleaned his ears out with toothpicks (gross, I know!).?
The eustachian tubes are in the middle ear, though- past the ear drum. You can't poke it by cleaning out your ears unless somehow you jam the q-tip through your ear drum and angle it just right (and then your problem would be a lot worse than just gagging and coughing).
Re: weird but has this happened to you?
