TMI-ish Question about post-D&C :\

Hi -- its been a bit over a week since my D&C and any spotting has been super minimal the last few days. But this morning I experienced a heavy tan/white discharge. Seemed almost cervical mucus like... I don't have a "post op" appt with my doc for another 3 weeks, so I thought I would ask here instead of wondering all wkend, since the office is closed.

Is this normal? Maybe a sign my body is trying to get back on cycle? I don't know if I should be nervous or optimistic.... Anyone else have this experience??

    I had cm-like discharge during early pregnancy and a I think for a bit after the d&c, I just kind of assumed it was hormone related since things were so crazy. 

    I am not a doctor, but was told to watch for signs of infection, including bad smelling discharge, after my procedure. Does your doctor have an on call physician you can talk to? I don't want to alarm you, but you had surgery just over a week ago and should not feel that this doesn't warrant "bothering" the on call doc if that's an option for you.

    I did check the smell - which wasn't average but wasn't bad smelling. Haven't had anything since then... and not feeling off at all so I don't feel too alarmed. I did assume it was more the hormones getting back in play... thanks for the reply tho :smile:

    After my second d&c it was super mucusy. Almost like blood tinged cm. a friend suggested that it could be due to a rise in estrogen. 

    I wouldnt worry much about cm. I had retained tissue, which is why I needed the second d&c, and I was passing gigantic clots. I definitely thought the mucusy stuff was odd though.
