I've tried a couple brands of disposable breast pads now and they have been itchy and uncomfortable. Whats your preferred brand of breast pad? Which ones wear the best and hold in the leaks best? Thanks ladies!
I tested pretty much all of them last time. My favorite was Avent disposable ones, I've been using them for a couple of days now and I still like them.
Agree with pp about cloth ones! Posted the ones I've been using. They are so comfy! And very absorbent. I do so much laundry that I find I don't need more than the 3 pairs it comes with but at a dollar a pad you could easily buy another pack.
ETA I've also tried the disposables and don't like them as much.

I've used the up&up ones almost exclusively. After several months, when I hardly ever leak, I like bamboobies. Other than that, I haven't had good luck with any cloth ones.
I've read other people complaining about the itchiness have liked the reusable cloth ones. I prefer the disposable and I think I like the Lansinoh ones best. I tried medela and ameda and dislike the seams on them.
Honestly, they all kind of suck. I tried several last time and Lansinoh was my favorite. I used the regular ones, but they also make an "ultra soft" that may be a little less scratchy. I have some Bamboobies, but they didn't work well when I was leaking multiple times throughout the day, and they didn't stay put for me.
I've been using organic cotton ones I bought from babies r us they had green packaging I can't remember the brand. Much more comfortable than the disposables!
I use the cloth ones. When I was using the disposable ones I found my nipples were much more sore... after some research I found out that the disposable ones can cause your nipples to not dry as well which in return can cause infections. Saves so much money to just buy the washable ones. And way more comfortable!
Try the Lansinoh Ultra Soft disposable pads. There is a huge difference (IMO) between the ultra soft and the regular. The packaging/box looks the same, you will have to look specifically for the words "ultra soft" (in a light green/blue font above the white words disposable nursing pads). These get me through the first few weeks until the nipples toughen up a bit and I switch to the regular. Also, as others have said, put nipple cream on as well to lessen the friction. No nursing pad is perfect or comfortable, it's just something we unfortunately have to get used to.
A friend of mine said she just used the padding from one of her old bathing suits as her breast pads. Never thought of it but I don't see why not, I use the lansinoh ones they seem to do the job.
I use the Organic cloth ones. However I find the new extra absorbant lansinoh ones work good at night when I leak a ton. Try some coconut oil on your nips
I used organic cloth for a day, I was leaning so much I went right through them and through my shirt. So I went to my lansinoh disposables and they work awesome for me. They are a little more uncomfortable but until my supply gets regulated I need them cause they work awesome!
@baya5 coconut oil is AMAZING I slather a glob on after I breastfeed while lil man is sleeping. Feels so much better by the time he's ready to nurse again.
