This morning I went to the bathroom and had a significant amount of blood when I wiped. More than spotting but less than a full blown period. Luckily my Dr office got me in immediately and I got an ultrasound. I saw our little one and he/she had a heartbeat which was a relief. But it wasn't super high (106) and I'm measuring a bit earlier than I thought (5w6d vs 6w2d). Doctor said its a subchorianic hemmorage which could be nothing, or could be a precursor to a miscarriage. Now I just have to wait things out. I'm so sad and so scared

If you can, please say a little prayer for this little one to hang in there! (And also... Does anyone have any experience with this?)
Re: Bleeding and scared :(
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Sorry you are having to deal with this.

As for the spotting and hemorrhage, these are both very common. I just got my US report in my email this morning and freaked out when I saw that I had a hemorrhage that no one mentioned. I called the nurse and she said it was nothing to worry about and it usually resolves itself on it's own. MCs are, unfortunately, always a possibility. But what you're describing sounds pretty common. Try not to stress yourself out until you know more.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

This time around, I've been bleeding and spotting for three weeks. I was told not to worry, side effects of Progesterone, common, etc. Yesterday afternoon I started cramping, and had heavy bleeding with clots - I was up all night and the bleeding didn't let up until 7am. My RE got me in this morning and, like @Piperella, I was told that I most likely lost a twin as he couldn't find any other cause for the bleeding. The little bean that's in there now is measuring on target and has a heart rate of 91 bpm which the RE said was totally normal for this early on. Their heart rates will get higher and higher each week.
The waiting and not knowing is excruciating, but everything can be just fine. And yes, I will say a prayer for you and your LO.
I was put on bed rest for two days and easy duty til the clot disappeared. Oh and pelvic rest. No sex. It was awful.
It all depends on the size of clot/ bleed. Large ones could cause a separation of the placenta from the uterus ending in miscarriage. But it's not common. Just take it easy and no jostling. Hope this helps.
Praying for you and trying not to worry myself!
Saw my doc he termed it as a "threatened miscarry". well thats the medical term they use. Don't get so stressed out. Make sure u take a lot of bed rest for like a whole week and relax, dont stand or walk for too long, eat healthy and ofcourse no sex until the bleeding stops.
Am currently on Duphaston meds to manage the bleeding and hormone levels.Plus my doc said not all blood that is used to form the baby is used, the unused comes out.so don't worry too much. My prayers are with you all going through this. We will survive this.
I hope this helps you and you feel more calm.

My last pregnancy I had a subchorionic hemorrhage, and the pregnancy did end in a miscarriage. BUT I was told that the SH had nothing to do with the miscarriage, and that having one is not predictive of having a miscarriage. I was told that they typically resolve on their own if the pregnancy is healthy. I know it's so hard to do this (and I would be freaking out too) but just focus on all of the good signs and try not to obsess about the potential bad stuff. Wishing you peace and happiness and a healthy pregnancy!

I had my first sonogram today and they noticed blood clotting in my uterus. She said only light exercise(not even the elliptical), but said I don't need an extra sonogram to check again. Of course I thought of questions after I left. The good news is the baby looks good, and had a strong heartbeat of 165! Has anyone else HS a blood clot at their ultrasound, without any bleeding?
edited: I just called back to get more instructions/and a better idea of what my situation and restrictions are. They told me mine is a subchorionic hemmorage too. Apparently I am supposed to be on pelvic rest, which means no sex and no exercise except walking and maybe swimming. They said if everything looks good in 3 weeks at my 12 week I'll probably be removed from pelvic rest.
I can't believe the dr didn't tell me more the day of my appointment!
how's everyone else with the subchorionic hemmorages doing? Are you also on pelvic rest?
