Sweet smell...urine? or discharge?

Ok, so I'm 22+2 today and after eating some apple slices and a couple pieces of chocolate I got the urge puke.  While throwing up, I felt what I assume was a bit of urine leak out (no surprise there).  When I was sure I was done throwing up, I sat on the toilet to pee and noticed a sweet smell when I pulled my undies down. Since I had just tinkled in them, I thought it was that.  I of course went on google and saw it's a sign of GD.  I haven't had my glucose test yet, supposed to schedule it at my next appt on the 25th.  But...I've also noticed that my discharge has been smelling sweet too. I also know that AF smells sweet.  Has anyone had anything like this? The sweet smelling urine or discharge?  I don't know if I should call, or just go get checked to make sure it's not fluid.

    My first thought was amniotic fluid. It's worth a call, I would think. I hope all is well! Keep us updated.

    Sweet smelling urine is a sign of a high sugar concentration in your urine, but it doesn't necessarily mean you have GD. My husband is diabetic and my pregnant nose can smell it from the bedroom when he pees if his sugar is out of wack. It's so weird.

    Update: the nurse said it's unlikely that it's AF this early in my pg. She sent a message to the Dr's for advice and will get back to me when she hears from them. I haven't had any discharge or leaking today so that's good.

    Ummm until I got to @HBamama2B's post, I still couldnt figure out what else AF was standing for.

    My first thought as well was GD because I was just reading about "what your pee is trying to tell you" and it mentioned sweet smelling urine and diabetes. Let us know how this turns out, OP!

    @mamabird24 there is a test they can do if you have this problem again in the future. I had it done once last pregnancy and once already this pregnancy. The test is called fetal fibronectin and it tests for the presence of amniotic fluid and the likelihood of labor in the following two weeks.

    Haha yeah, sorry about that. I had seen it abbreviated like that on something else so I just went with it lol. I was confused the first time I saw it but thought I was the one put of the loop. 
    So my OB said unless it happens again, she doesn't think it's anything to worry about. I'll be sure to mention it again at my appt next week, but for now I just have to keep an eye on things. Thanks for all the help ladies!
