Bra Crisis

My boobs got bigger during this pregnancy from a 36C to a 38DD. I have my old nursing bras at exactly that size so I was all "Perfect! Don't need to buy more!" Only in the past month my boobs have shrunk to a 38C and I only have one bra that fits and it's not a nursing bra. I have 2 sleep nursing bras to hold me over for my hospital stay but I REALLY need new bras. Should I wait until after LO is born? Do you think my boobs will plump back up again as a STM breastfeeding again?  Has anyone else had there boobs shrink towards the end of pregnancy? What happened after that?

    I'm only a FTM, but if I were you I would definitely wait till after your milk has come in to buy new nursing bras. Im willing to bet your boobs will get bigger again once it comes in. Maybe back to a 38DD or maybe a different size..but definitely bigger. I'm in the same boat as far as only having one bra that fits right now..but I'm not gonna buy a new one just to have it not fit in a week after I have the baby. Plus my band size is drastically different being pregnant vs not pregnant, so yours might be too.

    My boobs shrunk after I stopped nursing dd and haven't plumped up yet. I'm putting off buying any nursing bras with padding and wires until they decide what they want to do once baby is born.
    i have only picked up 2 comfortable ones for at home and then I did get one with padding and a wire but it was $5 or something like that from motherhood for their clearance deal

    I'm about to be a third time mom, and I can tell you, my boobs have been different sizes throughout each pregnancy and even postpartum. I went up to a full 34C after I had my first LO, then a 34D with my second. Now I'm starting to spill out of my D cups and I haven't even had my lo yet. No telling what's going to happen once I do and my milk comes in. Go get a couple at Walmart (they have nursing bras for like $8) to hold you over until you figure out what size you'll be after baby.

    My boobs didn't really get any bigger during pregnancy this time (I stopped nursing DS a few months into the pregnancy). Since giving birth three weeks ago, they are much larger again, they didn't get as engorged as they did last time, but all of my nursing bras are fitting again. I would wait and see what ends up happening after you give birth.

    Definitely wait. I'm a FTM and bought bras at the size I was right before I delivered and once I delivered and my milk came in holy moly did they get huge. I had to go today and get all new ones.

    I'd get 1 in a D to have on hand. Typically, you go up 1-2 sizes when your milk comes in, so if you're on the smaller side of that this time I would get 1-2 38D's. You'll need them at one point or another.

    The same thing happened to me. Kept my nursing bras and I think they're too small now, ugh. I'd wait until your milk comes in and evaluate then. Good luck, mama!
