Startle/Moro Reflex still present at 6.5 months

Hey ladies! It has been a WHILE since I have posted here. I have a now 5 year old and a 6 month old. Both boys! I am glad to be back in the forum as I have missed it a lot! I recently had my LO's 6 month appt and he is still experiencing the startle reflex. Pedi wants us to see a neurologist and I am freaked out! I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the reflex lasting longer. Trying not to play Dr. on Google! TIA!

    Hi! Welcome back!! My son still startles sometimes when he is sleeping, I've noticed I do too. I think it something they will outgrow. But stay positive mama and don't think it's something wrong. I know God is in control and keep us updated I'm praying it's nothing bad. Like I said I think it's something our boys will outgrow. God bless mama and let us know if anything!

    My LO is 7months and I am abit concerned also. Try to stay positive and know that there aren't any hard and fast rules about their development.

    mine is 7 months and still does it on occasion. not like the beginning but every once in a while he does it and I love it. I was sad to see that go! hehe. I bet your LO is ok :)

    My best friend is our pediatrician - she told us that it can take a full 12 months for the startle reflex to disappear.
