  • Slgill from KS

    TTC #2 since August 2015

Just using ovulation kits and fertility apps

I am currently waiting for my cycle

I am a little frustrated to be honest. Due to my husband's job, we just haven't been able to do this consistently. It seems like we always try too soon or too late after ovulating. But on the bright side, starting next month, he will be home at more reasonable hours and his travel will have cut down for a while so I am hoping this helps.

    TTC #1 since Nov 2015

nothing this cycle other than BD every other day (I made a small effort at trying out ferning)

    I'm 2DPO.

I'm feeling good! I had a TVUS yesterday to check for fibroids/ovarian issues due to mid cycle spotting and saw the OB today. He said everything looked perfect and the free fluid seen in my pelvis is an indication that ovulation recently occurred. He did suggest having my SO do a SA just to rule out issues there, so if we aren't successful this month that will be the next step. I guess it just feels good to have a contingency plan. Haha.

about a month ago we were getting to business and my SO stopped, looked behind him and shook his head. I asked him what was wrong and he pointed to one of his legs.....one of our cats had decided to take a nap on his leg and was NOT moving. We tried to shoo him off, but he was settled in for the long haul. We now have a no-cats-in-the-room policy.

@PoeMasque - always a real pleasure when pets insert themselves into your sex life.

@SLGILL1978 -  I hope you get the timing down better when your H's scheduled changes.  We have been working on timing/frequency issues ourselves...it is frustrating!

TTC #1 on and off since 9/2014

Nothing exciting this cycle other than we have been BDing more frequently than before.

    I'm about 6 DPO.

I'm feeling more positive but also just a little jealous I guess since H's brother & wife just had a baby...just feeling a little more pressure on myself.  We went to see her on Sunday for the first time and I admit I think I was in a little bit of a fog...H asked me if something was wrong but I don't think he figured it out.  I was just sort of half there and half not mentally. We had just finished a week of BD so I was a little on edge I guess, just past the hopeful stage.   Plus H kept showing pictures of our puppy to them as if that compared to a new baby.  It was almost annoying. (sorry for the venting)

I can't really think of any funny TTC stories at the moment.

    TTC#1 after loss since 1/2016

I'm doing acupuncture, Chinese herbs, OPKs, EPO, CoQ10, trying preseed and SMEP this month.

CD 14 and WTO I think. My cycle is still regulating after my MC and acupuncture is supposed to bring my cycle to 28 days from
31, so I'm wondering if this cramping im currently feeling is ovulation. Currently waiting for H to stop dealing with annoying work to BD.

Im actually feeling strangely normal today. I've had a bunch of off days recently due to my loss, but today I'm feel optimistic that this is going to happen soon and everything will work out perfectly. So let's go with that.

No funny TTC stories since this is the 3rd total cycle that we've ever tried. I will say that we wI'll only use the one position that worked the first time TTC. It's starting to get a bit old, but whatever gets the job done, right?!

    2.  TTC#1 cycle 5

    3.  Charting and temping, using Advanced OPK.  Couldn't quite start checking CM consistently.  Taking Rainbow Light Complete Prenatal; Calcium; GNC DHA 600; 60 mg CoEnzyme Q10 and 2,000 IU Vitamin D3.
    4. 5DPO
    5. I am very hopeful.

I don't have any funny TTC stories to share.

     2. TTC #2 for a year and a half, 2 MC's and 1 CP

     3. This cycle Im trying to  get my nutrition in line. Using Maca in my morning smoothie, COQ10 supplements, eating healthy fats like coconut oil and avocado, not drinking coffee and trying to avoid refined sugars and bread/pasta/rice etc. I am having an HSG done on Monday and seeing an RE on Tuesday.

     4. CD4

     5. Not sure how I feel about this cycle. Starting to think its just not going to happen for us this time. Maybe we are one and done, I dont know.
  • @rspalding001 - totally understand the frustration. This TTC thing is a freaking roller coaster. I'm so up and down with it. We may also be one and done, but I will always be wishing for another.

I'm CD14, supposed to be taking a break while trying to lose weight and gearing up for labs next month and first and only IUI in April but I went ahead and pulled out the last of my hoarded Femara and did 5mg CD4-8. I'm out of town until CD15, which should be fine since I did the later Femara. Atleast I hope so!!  I feel very 'full' right now ;)
not really funny, but -  Oct through Jan was really difficult for us because every single time I was in my FW, we were staying with family.  It made for some interesting BDing requirements!  There was one time while staying at DH's aunts house (and next door to my inlaws) the bed was too squeaky, then the floor was too squeaky so we had to go to the bathroom!  It's not as fun as it sounds! :D

    4.  AF is still here.  So I am just waiting for that to be over so we can get this next cycle started.
    5.  I am always hopeful before the cycle starts.  Guess we'll see how it goes.

    2. TTC #1 since summer ‘15

    3. Charting, temping, and ferning microscope.

I also changed vitamins.  Turns out, vitamins with Folic Acid are BAD for you.  I switched to a vitamin that contains folate instead.

Oh, and I took a vacation and changed jobs, so the stress level has dropped.  J

For lent I gave up sugar, we’ll see if that affects anything.  So far it’s just given my husband headaches.

    4.  I am on CD22 and I think (fingers crossed) I am 3DPO!  If so, this means I am back to my normal cycle, and hopefully no more 9 week cycles!

    5.  I feel good!  I’ve been so stressed over everything; job, TTC, oh, and that email from a midwife indicating I have cancer, but now things have settled down and going well.

Personally, I don’t even need a BFP this month, a normal cycle is all I really need.

    QOTW - Nope, no story.

@rspalding001 – you mentioned coconut oil, but that’s a bad fat, unless it’s virgin coconut.  Make sure you have the right one.  I bought some just out of curiosity to try not long ago, and then I looked up the nutritional info – I can’t bear to touch it now.

  • @amimhof  yes thank you! It is virgin organic coconut oil.
  • Anna from Maine.

TTC #2 (first is 5.5 yrs old), on CD 2-3 now and this will be second cycle trying.

I am taking prenatal (whole-foods cheap bottle...will spring for Rainbow Light if and when I'm finally preg!); 3000-ish IUs vitamin D3; 200 mg Co-Q 10 (maybe this should be doubled or tripled...am trying to find out about dosage in another thread); magnesium powder.

I am not charting, temping, or using OPKs...I totally forget how to temp/chart (which I did the first time I tried for a baby, but it worked so quickly then that I only did it for a month, argh) and must look that up asap.  I do not want to squander $ on OPKs after my insane and totally unwarranted purchase of several pregnancy tests last cycle (and by several I mean, oh, I don't know, 15?  Don't worry, most were 99 cents from Reny's).  My hope is that I can guess the time of O based on a generally 27-ish day cycle.  Okay, now that I wrote that down it seems insane so I guess I have to actually figure out how temping works.

How do I feel about this cycle.  Not great.  DP is not super interested, I am starting to get cold feet about essentially wrecking my art career, and I am just not sure about a lot of things.  However, I have noticed that my brain always gets crazy at O time and these hesitations kind of fade away (for me, not for him)...so, I will probably be more into it in a couple of weeks.  Also, after last cycle, I am no longer under the impression that conceiving will be quick or easy.  I am grateful for the support found here...seriously.  Thank you!
