    @Knottie9983816 your sister should have totally gotten with your friend who made that wreath to use it as a decoration. I mean, come on, that would have REALLY classed it up. 

    But for real, that looks like such a cute shower!! I can't wait for mine and now you're making me want it even more!

    Ugh don't even get me started on that wreath! I really was blessed to have had such a cute shower, and on top of that my sisters that threw the shower also got me the swing, RNP, a bunch of clothes, and a bunch of other stuff as well. Oh and baby books.

    @Lilpenguin3 That is too cute! My mom hates penguins though. I guess my dad's ex wife's favorite animal was penguins, and we were never allowed to like them because of it lmao.

    My first response to this was "is there something you're trying to tell us about your dh?" But that would be HIGHLY inappropriate, and I would NEVER say something like that :P

    I thought I responded to this, guess I started to and forgot :/

    My only wish looking back was I had a list of each letter of the alphabet and had people select which lettered block to make instead of just having a free for all.

    Yes my mom ordered the containers from amazon and mixed two recipes she found on pinterest to make the scrub. It smells so good and works amazingly. 

    I'm her only child and this will be her first grandchild so she went a little crazy for my shower. She even hand made all the fondant penguins on cupcakes and cream cheese stuffed penguins. 

    SO says he regrets saying I could do anything in her nursery. Haha.

    Is this the right place to ask for advice? :neutral:
    My "mother in law" threw a big stink over the shower she was "planning" so it's all up to me and my SO now. Which is fine, because I can make it exactly how I want it! Or so I thought...
    EVERYONE has an opinion on what to do, what food, etc., etc. I am stumped, because I'm beginning to be more passive in my late months, just wanting no arguments and stress. My SO is a police officer, and I am in law enforcement too, so our theme is obvious. But as far as food.. We are at a rock. He says just sandwiches, I think that sounds just too effortless. (Who am I trying to impress? Hell, who knows!) any of you ladies have suggestions as far as decorations, ideas for favors, and most importantly FOOD?! :smiley: because let's be honest, the food is the most important thing.. When you're 8 months pregnant! Lol

    My mom is throwing a shower for me and DH in a few weeks.  She has mini- pulled pork sliders, fruit kabobs, veggies, cheese and crackers, meatballs and cookies/bars on the menu.  Not over the top but delicious and easy to prep ahead of time. 

    As far as decorations and favors go, I'm sure pinterest has a lot of ideas, especially since you have a specific theme.

    We had a few light things such as cucumber slices with hummus, bell peppers, and paprika on them. As well as vegan tomato caprices (halved cherry tomatoes with avocado and balsamic vinaigrette and basil on top) Veggie cups with ranch at the bottom, popcorn cups, and my personal favorite: CAKE POPS! Oh and blue punch. No idea what went in that, but it was delicious.
