TTC After a Loss

Anyone doing IVF? *Loss, stillbirth and child mentioned*

Hi ladies - I've been lurking for a while.  I've been on and off these boards for a few years but seems like a lot aren't active anymore.  I have a 6yo son who is my world.  My husband had stage 4 lypmpoma a few years back and while he is thankfully cancer free now, the chemo left him sterile.  Our only option for a biological child is IVF as we did not freeze enough sperm to attempt IUI.  In Sept of 2014 we had our first transfer that ended in a M/C in October.  We did another transfer in Feb 2015 that resulted in our second son, Raymond.  My pregnancy went smoothly and we went to the hospital for a scheduled c-section on October 15th only to find out that there was no heartbeat.  To say we are devastated is an understatement.  All tests came back normal and the only thing they can come up with is a cord accident - his cord was around his foot once.  He was beautiful and perfect.

I am not ready yet but I know we will try again at some point this year as age is a factor and we do not want to be new parents much older than we are now.  Unfortunately money is a factor so we are currently saving up for another round.  I don't know what board I belong on to be honest but I thought I might find some one who understands here.  Thank you for reading.

Thank you @catiecatp - I was on the infertility board when we were going through treatments last year and those ladies are lovely as well.

I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you. It's so freaking hard. After two more cycles, my husband and I are tyring one more attempt at natural conception. If this results in another loss, we will pursue Donor Egg IVF. I don't know a ton about it yet, but am reading and lurking on the IF board to see what others say. Hopefully we will all be graduating to the PGAL board at some point - regardless of how we get there!

@fivetimesnoluck - it really is so hard.  Good luck on your journey too.  A good friend of mine used a DE after many rounds of failed IVF and she had her little boy in September.  I hope we are all on PGAL some time soon too!
