Nursing Tank Recommendations

I have two Yummie brand compression nursing tanks that I love, but they are so expensive and I need more. Which brands are the best? I'm looking for something ideally cheaper than $30 a tank, but if something is just that awesome please recommend as well!

I would love something with plenty of coverage up top for big boobs and a little compression/stretch in the midsection to hide my flab ;) Does such a thing exist? Thanks!!!

Re: Nursing Tank Recommendations

  • I've read good reviews about the Gillian O'Malley one's from target. But I need more too so I will be following. This is my last baby so I don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

  • Yes! I have 3 variations of the Gilligan O'Malley tank below. They're easy to unclip when nursing, really flattering, and only 19.99!

  • I have two of the target tanks and I agree with @hailees. I am rather busty and one of them won't stay buttoned at all. But they are so comfy and offer super easy access. I wear them both around the house and just throw on a sweater or flowy shirt if someone drops by.

  • I have a few from motherhood maternity that I love. Super comfortable. My mom mailed them to me, so I have no idea what they cost though.
  • I agree with this. The Target tanks are better for just wearing around the house, or under a sweater or something. I'm not that busty and I have way too much side boob in these things to wear out in public. If I went up a size then the rest would be too big.
  • @hailees I agree they aren't good for large breasts I have two and they don't cover much at all.
I have a question though are y'all wearing the nursing tank with a nursing bra? I have nursing bras but have been wearing regular stretchy long tanks because I feel like unclipping a bra and tank is too much.
I love the missimo stretch long tanks over my Gillian and omalley bras they don't loose their shape even after nursing all day. And they are 8$!
  • I wear a nursing tank alone, only at home. Nursing bra + non shelf camisole tank with loose straps + loose top seems to be my magic combo for going out.

Same - nursing bra + $6 cami from Walmart that is loose enough to pull down and long enough to cover my butt in leggings :)

I bought some cheap long tanks, and made them into nursing tanks that attach to the bra, so only I clip to undo. I love it!! I found the directions on Pinterest, and it was super easy!

  • Glamourmom nursing tanks are great, but expensive, probably similar in price to the yummy ones.  The shelf bra has a hook and eye closure in the back so you can loosen/tighten it.  There is a breathable lining in the front to allow some air circulation as well as cut-outs for nipple pads.  The clips on the straps are easy for lowering the front.  The coverage and support are good and it provides some light compression.
  • Cake maternity. Hands down my favorite! I have the tanks and bras. I found I sale at https://www.cuteasabuttonbabyboutique.com/collections/sale/products/honey-toffee-nursing-tank

  • @maminette13 I have seen those on Pinterest and they look great but I'm curious how it's attached in the back to stay up? Same way, looped on strap?
I am going to do this this weekend !
  • I ended up doing something very similar to the above, except I bought some silicon o rings on amazon that just loop right over the closure on my nursing Bra. I'll have to take a pic when I finish.

There isn't anything. They stay up pretty well with just the elastic, and I only wear them under another shirt, but that is one of the downsides.

  • PSA - the yummie nursing tanks someone recommended are on sale today only for $29! Normally $68 so I'm pretty excited. Also feel free to try "dontforget10" as a promo code - I had abandoned my cart and they sent me the code.

I also love my nursing tank from target. Very nicely made and comfortable. I would have to agree that if you are large breasted, they might be tight.
