Re: Weekly check-in Feb 13 (for the 10th)

  • Apologies for the delayed check-in. My grandma passed away last week :(  so i have been pretty tied up with spending time with her (prior) and then with family.

    dolphin012 from CA

    ttc #1 for a while

Temping and timed BD if we can. Meanwhile considering donor eggs and foster to adopt. We had our RE appointment last week. It went well and confirmed we are good candidates for DE. I think we have all the information from the DE perspective to make a decision. Continuing with foster to adopt research -- a couple of more people i am arranging to talk with and then i think we will have all that info.

I am CD32 - still long cycles as i reset from all the FET hormones. My temps have been wonky, but i am thinking i ovulated around CD21 so that would put me at 11 dpo.

Hard to be super hopeful about this cycle as our adds are so small to begin with at this point and on top of it our timing wasn't ideal -- probably -3 was the closest, I left early to see my grandma and my partner followed several days behind me. But that's ok, main focus is the alternates now. Hoping to get a bit of research done this next week and be in a position to make a decision soon.

Best stress reducer for me is running. The more I move the calmer my mind gets.

  • 1.) Chloe from Chicago

2.) This is cycle 2 after loss

3.) All the stuff, including EPO and preseed this month which is new for me. I wasn't thrilled with my CM last cycle. Also trying the SMEP method.

4.) Feeling good about this cycle. I actually registered an OPK today and yesterday. It was not positive, but I got a faint line. Last cycle I didn't even get that even when I was having o-pains. I'm now wondering if I had a faulty batch or if I didn't wait long enough to look? After POAS like an insane woman with my loss, I'm used to HPTs which show the 2nd line immediately, so maybe I threw away some positive OPKs? Anyway, I feel like I could actually get a positive, which makes me feel good! Only bad thing is that my hormone-related migraine showed up yesterday which means they will be here until a drop in my estrogen during the LP. I had them last cycle and had gone a really long time without migraines and was hopeful that they went away after I gave up Diet Coke. I really hope that they have nothing to do with whether I can conceive. I know that I did not have them the week I conceived my loss.

5.) Running is a great one @dolphin012. I'm about to go hop on a treadmill. I also like coloring my adult coloring books and of course wine!

    2.  TTC #1 cycle 7

    3.  Charting/temping, preseed, higher quality prenatal vitamin, also started vitamin d and switched from Pregnitude to an Inositol supplement from a company with more proven quality.  OPKs.  Cutting out caffeine and alcohol.

    4.  CD 4

    5.  I've got my fingers crossed.  This is month 6, so if it doesn't work, I've got an OBGYN appt in about a month.  Sigh.

QOTW:  I love running and exercising, also playing the cello relieves stress when I'm not playing the hard stuff my teacher gives me ;).

  • Very sorry for the loss of your grandmother @dolphin012    :(
  • 1.  Happilili from Maryland

    2.  TTC#1 cycle 5

    3.  Charting and temping, using OPK.  Couldn't quite start checking CM consistently.  Taking Rainbow Light Complete Prenatal; Calcium; and GNC DHA 600.  Added about a week ago 60 mg CoEnzyme Q10 and 2,000 IU Vitamin D3 bc the vitamin D in Rainbow light is D2.  Bought some Royal Jelly but have only taken 1 capsule bc I began thinking it would give me a false positive on OPK due to possibly increasing estrogen but those fears are probably unfounded.  Also trying to eat a more balanced diet.  It's Lent so I am refraining from coffee and sweets so that may help hormonally.  I have a horrible sweet tooth.   :p

    4. Currently waiting to ovulate or I may be ovulating. Temps going up and OPK said "Peak".

    5. I am very hopeful

I watch TV or walk or pray but I need something better than television.
  • @dolphin012   - I'm sorry about your grandmother :-(

    1. Molly from CA
    2.  I am about to start cycle 3.  We are TTC our 3rd.
    3.  I am temping/charting
    4.  I am at the end of my TWW.  I've been spotting, got BFNs, and am just waiting for AF. I assume it will start tomorrow.
    5.  I'm ready for AF to get here so I can move on to the next.  But sad that this month didn't work.

QOTW : I agree with everyone else - running helps me.  And reading.

  • So sorry to hear @dolphin012 :(

    Jen, Oregon

    TTC #1 since Nov 2015

i said I wasn't going to do anything this month, but I forgot I ordered a ferning microscope, so I've looked at that a few times this week. Today I saw my first ferns! I don't know how accurate it is but it's super fun to look at. Haha.

I'm CD14 and we've been really good about BDing every other day so far.

I am am pretty ambivalent this cycle. It's been crappy to wake up for BD after only 3 hours of sleep and then try to go back to sleep after, but I've never shied away from hard work ;) I have an appt for an US and OBGYN this week to discuss my pre-AF spotting, check for fibroids/cysts/lining issues. Blood work so far has been normal.

I run run and play soccer 3-4 X week, but in nursing school I used to go to these float tanks (saline water/sensory deprivation tanks) before big exams, I would leave feeling like a melted stick of butter!

  • @PattersRN I went to OHSU. I had a degree in Psychology already so I did the accelerated BSN (only 15mos long). Where are you at in Oregon? Did you go to school here? @thistle8677 and I just found out we were neighbors for a long time! (I live in Eugene now)

@poemasque I took the longer route ;). I already had a degree in Kinesiology, but started at Mt Hood Community College, then did the RN to BSN bridge at OHSU.  I work for a surgeon in his outpatient practice now.  I live in Beaverton!

@dolphin012 - so sorry about your grandmother

    1. sinnet from ny
    2. ttcal cycle 7
    3. charting, temping, opk's. I see my obgyn to discuss why i'm not ku at the end of this month, but i really don't want to go to the appt. I just don't. I may push it off another month. I have no idea what she could tell me. I had a bunch of testing done in August after my loss (with no issues showing), so not sure what's left to do and if there's any reason to go. SA hasn't been done, but would there suddenly be an issue with that?
    4. wto, cd 11
    5. i'm always hopeful this has gotta be the month in the wto time
q: exercise is definitely my stress reliever. My DH is redoing our floors and i stepped down this morning on an uneven surface, heard my foot pop and went down hard. I'm hoping I can walk later I'm still in so much pain. so it looks like exercise is out for today at least. :(

    1. Rita from Santa Cruz CA

    2. TTC #2 for a year and a half

    3. This cycle I'm adding Maca to my morning smoothies and drinking fertility tea. Also adding coconut oil to my diet and trying to eat lots of avocados. I see a RE on the 23rd and will probably have my HSG on the 24th. I just started temping too.

    4. CD2

    5. Not sure how I feel about this cycle. Happy to have an apt with an RE I guess.

QOTW: Exercising, reading, drinking wine ;) all help reduce stress in different ways for me.

  • thank you all for your kind thoughts
