I have one cup of coffee a day usually between 7-8 am I am EBF and my daughter hits her fussy time about 6-8 at night and is wide awake and super fussy until about 10. So my husband is trying to get me to try cutting out my morning coffee because he read that it can take 12 hours to get to baby. Well I think she's just purple crying everyday and that my coffee has nothing to do with it. Have any of you ladies had any experience cutting out caffeine or thoughts on if it could be affecting her that late in the day? I don't know if I can survive without that morning coffee! and with my DS I drank 3 cups a day and never had a problem. I think my husband is just fishing for anything to get her to not have that fussy time every day.
Re: Caffeine?
The only way you can tell is to experiment. If you can't cut it out, maybe try changing what time you drink it and see if that changes her behavior.
I think we all like to self diagnose a "fussing" baby but really babies fuss. My DH likes to say she has gas issues but she's fine he just can't sooth her unless he's shoving food in her mouth but doesn't realize sometimes there are other ways/ other things she needs.
